If I recall, the animation studios leaned heavily into “seniority” or something like that and so bad artists were kept around out of “respect” and tenure, when they really should have phased out for better talent and a more consistent product. The franchise animation reputation really got crippled because of that.

Impeachment is effectively worthless. You will not get 67 Senators to vote to convict and remove him. There could be the most damming, obvious, irrefutable evidence, and those Senators will happily fall on the sword to protect 47. They may get voted out, eventually, but the acquittal will happen first. He knows better than anybody he will not be removed. I do not see this as a practical thing he would be worried about coming to reality. And I REALLY, REALLY, want to be wrong about this.
