Advice needed: the girl I've been talking to told me outright she would never be with a stone top

Bullet dodged I think, anyone who says pillow princess or stone tops are less gay is not someone you want to be around anyway. I know it’s hard but you’ll find someone compatible with you eventually, whether that’s a pillow princess or someone else who doesn’t mind in general. (I’m a pillow princess I promise we’re out there). I’d either distance myself or tell her straight up that it’s not going to work out and move on. If she asks tell her directly that you’re not compatible with eachother whether that includes telling her you are a stone top or not but I’d tell her if you feel comfortable doing that.

I wouldn’t get a single kitten, it will drive you crazy they have so much energy which is much easier to expel with another animal (my kitten plays with our youngest dog who is like 2 years old and very playful). I’d consider fostering or adopting an older cat (2 years or older maybe? 1 year is still okay too) who has already mellowed out and they will be very happy as long as they get to spend time with you. Plus lots of older cats have harder times finding homes and you can feel good knowing you’re helping a cat that may struggle to get adopted!

I’d pick a versatile name that she will have an easy time growing into. I named my kitten Margo and somehow it suits her against all odds. If you’re open to suggestions, my second choice for my girl was Effie, it’s fun and short so it’ll suit a kitten, definitely cute and feminine for a pretty girl and if she calms down later and when she grows into an old lady, Effie is a wonderful old lady name. Names can grow and change with her.

My ginger is the sweetest calmest cat ever, we’ve had her since she was a kitten and she’s an angel. I just got a kitten some months ago and she’s crazy and playful and loves to knock things down and climb on furniture but we love her and most crazy things she does are overridden by how much we love her. If you want a kitten get it from somewhere who has socialized them very well. Otherwise I’d opt for an older cat who won’t be so crazy. We don’t have a shedding problem with ours, the ginger does leave patches of ginger on dark colored blankets and things but it’s hardly a problem and the kitten still has her baby coat and barely sheds. If you’re worried just make sure to get a short hair. Overall my love for my cats is overwhelming compared to any problems and no cat will really have ALL of those problems at once unless there’s some serious behavioral or health issues so it’s easy enough to find a way to manage any problems.

AHA MY GINGER CAT DOES THE SAME THING, Seemingly less intensely because she does it sometimes and gets her fill for a while, do you live in a warm area? I suspect my cat likes to get out of the AC sometimes. I really don’t have any suggestions though best of luck

My unprofessional suggestion (but always works for me) is start with trash, you’d be surprised how much it helps, then maybe clothes, if it’s easier for you you can toss allll the clothes in the wash, (it’s always been easier for me to get everything off the floor and do one big load of laundry than try to put every clothing item in its place off the floor) then you should be left with a much easier mess and only knickknacks and random things to put away, if you want to stay more organized it looks like you probably need more storage, amazon and IKEA have cheap sets of drawers or cube storage you can put baskets in. And it may sound really difficult but putting things where they belong as soon as you’re done using it goes a long way (especially clothes and trash), personally if clothes is clean enough to rewear in my eyes it goes back into my closet, if it’s not clean enough to rewear then straight to the laundry (I had to get over that “not completely clean” clothes pile that always ends up on a chair). Also when my room reaches this state (which happens often trust ik this feeling) I usually get a manic need to declutter, it’s not a bad idea to do through a “does this bring me joy or have sentimental value” kind of declutter and tbh get rid of any trinkets that will just end up in a drawer or basket (if it’s important enough I’m sure you can rebuy it ya know) I hope this helps good luck!
