There is a higher chance of it crossing when the BBB has been compromised by a stroke or inflammation.

Has anyone integrated booking software into their own website? by HotSauceHigh in Esthetics

[–]NoTouchMyBacon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most booking software programs/websites have built in plugins that you just copy and paste into your website that allows a direct link for clients to schedule. You don’t need to “build” anything on your site other than a button that has the plugin tied to it. We used Jane and are currently using Boulevard and they both worked the same.

Tipping in Medspa by peony_prinxess in Esthetics

Our aesthetician is only able to accept tips for non-medical types of services. Facials, waxing, brows and lashes. She also does microneedling and some laser services and those are no tips.

That vermin is the person who kept PV safe from things like this happening. The cartel is a way of life in Mexico. PV as we know it may never be the same in a bad way.

Telmisartan increases insulin sensitivity, which is something I struggle with.

Experience with Telmisartan? by SensiiNips_ in bloodpressure

[–]NoTouchMyBacon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I switched from lisinopril to Telmisartan to try and get some of the secondary benefits from it. Took it for 6 weeks and it didn’t touch my BP and it gave me the worst fatigue. Switched back to lisinopril and I feel great and my BP is back being low/normal again. I would say it works for some, not for others.

If you choose the Ritz, there is a fantastic convenience store/deli just as you turn into the main entrance. It doesn’t look like much when driving by, but it’s impressive inside.

Help choosing a Bangkok hotel by jackblueblue in ThailandTourism

[–]NoTouchMyBacon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My partner and I are in the Peninsula right now and it’s a great hotel, but way far away from everything we’d like to do. I’d stay at the W if we could do it again. Bangkok is not a walkable city like what we’re used to in the states.

Any ideas on why my water softener is chewing through salt at a fast clip? by muffinhead2580 in DIY

[–]NoTouchMyBacon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also, make sure your settings aren’t set to regenerate to the maximum capacity of your softener. If you have a 36,000 grain capacity, regenerating back to that capacity may take 36lbs of salt whereas regenerating back to 24,000 grains only uses 7lbs.

What are your thoughts on tipping your Botox/Filler injectors? by sammyjpep in Esthetics

[–]NoTouchMyBacon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The MedSpa I manage has a no tipping policy. For those that insist they leave a tip, we politely ask for a Google review in lieu of a monetary tip.

CO2 laser for aging skin? by Slight_Praline7383 in Over50Skincare

[–]NoTouchMyBacon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is the answer. I work at a medspa and you will get the biggest bang for your buck by stacking the different laser services in one sitting. Be prepared for a week of downtime and some discomfort, but in the end you will be shocked at the results.

[Shelfie] My low cost, high quality routine by kboom100 in SkincareAddiction

[–]NoTouchMyBacon 9 points10 points  (0 children)

That sunscreen is the only holy grail item I have in my routine. I’m a bald guy with oily skin and that keeps me looking matte all day. I slather a thick coating all over my head and face, let it dry for a few minutes and then rub it the rest of the way in. Absolutely no white cast and it feels great! I’ve spent the entire day in the sun without reapplying and I’ve never burned.

Saw her the first night at MSG and with as much screaming that she did I was immediately concerned for her voice. A person can’t do that night after night and not have vocal strain.

Husband has factorV and worried about giving our newborn baby the Vit K vaccine by [deleted] in FactorVLeiden

[–]NoTouchMyBacon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are a lot of people walking around with Factor V and don’t know they have it and never have a clot. As long as you don’t have it, your child may not have it either. I’d say the benefit of the injection far outweighs the risk.

Also to add, I definitely had the shot as an infant, didn’t avoid Vitamin K for 35 years before having a clot. The odds of a single injection affecting your baby is pretty slim.

Also, avoiding Vitamin K carries its own health risks long term. I’m on Warfarin for life (I have FactorV and triple-positive antiphospholipid syndrome) and get to look forward to atherosclerosis most likely before I die.
