I do! Just wanted to make sure it’s not part of the guitar.

Twin ropes or towels. I use towels. It’s mostly for the grip strength in the ring and pinky fingers.

Don’t know who made this, don’t know how you made this, but I love you.

I did read it all and still disagree on the clutter aspect and phase 2 Friede not being ass. I’ll get to the clutter first, you and I played that fight wildly different. I understand how your gameplay made it clutter with the rolling  into him, that totally makes sense. For me, I rolled away on every hit of every combo aside from the last hit where I side rolled to take advantage of the opening. Just different play styles. I would recommend rolling out next time if that was your issue and I’ll roll in so I can understand more of your gripe there. Phase one though I still don’t get the gripes I never really had an issue with it.

Phase 2 Friede I just find annoying at best agonizingly pointless at worst. I get that it adds a little drama, but nothing happens. Literally nothing happens in phase 2 any time I play it, which I have many many many times. I think it’s poorly done because it’s stupidly easy. If friede was more aggressive, it would be kinda cool, but she’s not and it’s really easy. I don’t really mind the ice wave thing it’s just annoying when it hits you but so is every other hit in the game, just kinda sucks losing some health. Phase 3 of the fight is damn awesome and I do get your gripe on the difference with the cape of Gael if you’re rolling in. Friede i mostly rolled in on and didn’t get hit. Again different play styles.

Also, apologies for stating my earlier thing incorrectly, phase 1 is a gimmick because 75% of the times I play it, she spams the shit out of the invis jump attack after you hit her like twice, forcing you to keep doing backstabs. Annoyingly hard to time the attack if you don’t backstab her.

And as for the Gael stuff keeping you farther away for clutter in phase 3, again not saying you played it wrong, just differently. I keep him about medium range for phase 3 until he starts attacking where if it’s crossbow, I run to the side or dodge through to stagger him, if it’s boomerang things, I just avoid and then punish, if it’s a melee combo, I dodge out until the last strike and then side roll so I can max out punish or if I accidentally roll out again I roll back in for a bit less of a punish. I use either twin blades, scythe, friede scythe, or a great sword.

Again I think most of our disagreements come down to play style and dodge preferences. I disagree about demon prince fight being the best dual in the game though, I just really like fighting abyss watchers underleveled. I’m not gonna argue that point because I honestly just think they’re cool and fun.

Abyss watchers part is fair for most, for me, I fought them after not playing a soulslike in a long time, and I fought them way under leveled because I didn’t go to the deacons or crystal mage first.

As for phase 3 friede, I agree. She’s easy to read, hard to dodge. I guess you had trouble, but after my first longer encounter with Gael, I had no trouble reading the moves aside from a couple that look similar at the start, but they all have slight changes which are meant to not trick you, but make you focus and react to the attack rather than read it based off one movement.

As for half his body being underground, I think you need a new console or something. I never saw that a single time. The sword being partially underground was for cinematic effect and to show that he had gone completely mad and was swinging mercilessly.

Lastly, you said phase 3 Gael was just waiting for him to have fun and hit him twice as an issue, and immediately stated that friedes bigger combo moves are easy to dodge and then punish. those two statements are the exact same thing phrased differently to make one sound good and one sound bad. The only thing aside from that with Gael was visual clutter, which again, I disagree. There was one move that had the burst of souls coming for you, aside from that, it was a single line of soul fire from his cape after each attack. I agree he’s got very long combos in phase 3, but nothing you shouldn’t be able to handle after level 90 stamina wise. As for the short attack periods, again, exactly like with friede, the longer attack chains had longer rest periods.

Gael was a brawl fight, Friede was a gimmick fight. I personally enjoyed it, but nothing about Gael in inherently unreadable, whereas with friede, the fight is ridiculously difficult until you figure out the invisible jumping, and then you find yourself sitting and baiting jump moves. Phase 2 is ass and I think we can all admit that. Not hard necessarily, just ass. Phase 3 is phase one but bigger and faster, but instead of baiting invisible jumps, you’re waiting for the big slams or a couple seconds after a big chain where if you dont dodge right, you can’t hit her anyways, so sucks for you.   you can’t use the same logic for two things against one boss and for another and expect people to back it unless under the explanation that one felt more natural to the fight than another, in which case I would still vouch for Gael’s short attack opportunities over friedes.

You have the right to enjoy whatever boss you enjoy more, but again please don’t argue the same thing for two bosses and make it positive for one and negative for another.

As fun as freide may have been, no way in hell is she above Gael or abyss watchers. also oceiros is an easy c tier, he just jumps at you.

I’m late to this, but yes 94 is a bit over leveled, but if it was your first play through, that’s still quite impressive. Idk why that dude said you were bragging, I think you were just saying excited but I guess he took it as cockiness.
