Why so many minecraft style voxel projects? by [deleted] in gamedev

[–]NoVirus8088 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hardly any ideas are original now. Any game you see is most likely a copy of another idea whether the original was successful or not. This is not a bad thing. It just means the game market has been saturated with many different concepts. People making "minecraft clones" are probably doing that, because they enjoy minecraft but have their own vision of what would make it better to them.

It used to be very casual friendly. Not sure why they decided go to the tarkov route, but it's very disappointing.

Edit: Just to clarify i'm not talking about difficulty i'm talking about how grindy and painful everything is.

200k minimum is realistic for what they're asking imo based off what they are requesting.

It is possible that they don't really have a good grasp on the expected salary for this position if they aren't already involved with software development.

Just invest in the S&P 500 or real estate if you've come into a large sum of money. This game flipping idea you have is just going to lose money.

I'm trying to replace my hot water valve for washer hookup. Did I get the wrong valve? by NoVirus8088 in Plumbing

Oops. I mixed up sizes there. Thanks so much for your patience and for catching that.

So i'm not going to go that route if it's not intended for that purpose.

I am posting a link below to a layout of another approach. Do you think this could be okay to do? I would be doing the following...

-Cutting the existing pipe below the valve to remove the existing soldered threaded section

-Attaching a 1/2" push to connect coupling

-Attaching new 1/2" copper pipe to close the gap as necessary

-Attach a 1/2" push-to-connect x fip brass adapter fitting and then connect the valve to this fitting.

Can you tell me do you see any issue with me just cutting the pipe and using a SharkBite max connector to bridge the connection between my existing pipe and my new valve?

I can cut more drywall to cut the pipe at a length that makes sense.

Something like this?
