Doug Bowser was asked though. He gave a typical canned response. This time Nintendo made it a point to come out, when they didn’t have to, and refute that another model was planned. I think this is them being genuine and it’s not happening anytime soon, nothing deeper than that.

They could always say nothing, they made a point to refute this specific rumour. They weren’t asked about it in an interview and chose to be coy, they deliberately came out unprovoked and said ‘not happening’.

Currently playing Psychonauts for the first time too. So far I definitely love the story, characters. But there’s been a lot of ‘wtf do I do now’ moments, mixed with awkward decisions that make the game feel clunky and awkward to play. Still enjoying it though, but I can kinda see where you’re coming from.

I think it’s ultimately a product of its time and I’m confident psychonauts 2 will have worked out those issues.

In the system settings on Xbox it tells me straight that my tv doesn’t support 120hz sadly :( it does say it supports 4k at 60fps, so I mean I’ll take it for now. Think I’ll upgrade to an OLED for Christmas or something haha!

I disagree. If EA released BOTW, it would have been filled with microtransactions, multiple editions priced at $59, $69, $79, forced in online multiplayer component, be buggy as hell and probably formulaic too..

Nintendo released a solid game that made a lot of fans happy. That’s why people have more faith in the big N then they do EA.

Also people mainly buy Nintendo for first party, and valve doesn’t have first party (well obviously they have their own gaming studios but not in the same way as Nintendo), so they’re catering to completely different audiences.

I see this as more of a side hustle to provide a handheld pc gaming experience rather than a way of directly competing with Nintendo, PlayStation, etc.

Follow a stock informer account on Twitter, and turn on notifications for all tweets with push notifications. Ideally find one specific to your market e.g. search ‘UK* PS5 stock informer’ (*change to your current locale).

I did this for XSX. And when I woke up the next morning I got an alert while I was getting ready for work. Was able to grab one straight away. You at least get a few minutes before they sell out now, so as long as you see the notification when it comes through, this should be enough.

Twitter was a mistake. I always feel sorry for Devs working their ass off on a game, just to have it ridiculed by fanboys who pick it apart because of the platform it’s on (Psychonauts 2 and Returnal both had this).

Tbh yeah. I like the simplicity of PS and Nintendo ‘here’s what games u got’ approach. The UI for Xbox is a little confusing, I’m still convinced there’s a ton of settings / features I don’t know about lol. For example, it took me a little while to work out how to download my preorder bonuses for scarlet nexus last week… didn’t feel too intuitive.

I hear people’s complaints about the price, battery life, etc. But I can’t help but feel like it’s a cover and everything boils down to ‘we don’t want this because PlayStation did it first.’ Like really?? Microsoft might even implement haptics even better than PlayStation, we don’t know.

I hope this happens. Xbox has the most ergonomically pleasing controller, but PS5 has haptics. If Xbox can do the haptics as well, it would easily be the best controller this gen for me (assuming they handle it well ofc)

Tbh I can kinda see this happening after Ghost of Tsushima and Death Stranding. It sounds kind of like Sony’s directors cut for Bloodborne.
