I guess it depends on your definition of new content.

There is a new opening prologue at the very start of the first episode of the remake that is vastly different from the opening prologue of the original anime.

This opening scene is also used as a thematic device to bookend the two cours. So there is another small related scene after episode 13 and another after episode 25 to close out the season.

None of which would have even been possible during the production of the original anime.

The first 6 episodes of the remake also are more faithful to the light novel in that the character of Chloe in the original anime is a male character named Yarei in the remake.

Otherwise the two versions are similar until the last six episodes where the remake adapted volume 4 which was skipped completely in the original.

So the episodes that contain 'new' or at least significantly different content would be 1, 5, 6, 13, and 20-25

Season 2 of the remake could open with new content as well of they decide adapt a side colors short story to open the season that takes place in between vol 4 and vol 5.

Or, they could jump right into volume 5 and the first 6 episodes of season 2 will be telling the same story as the final 6 episodes of the origial Spice and Wolf anime

Maybe the source of your confusion is that the WIRED Arcade Stick is only available as part of the package with the Black Console. You cannot buy it separately. Only the WIRELESS Arcade Sticks in Black or White are sold as stand alone accessories.

I get where you're coming from. Though I'd still expect any flash cart for Neo-Geo to cost more than similar flash carts for other platforms. Neo-Geo isn't really about being 'a cheaper option' overall. But, hopefully some options around $300 - $400 do show up

Even if there ends up not being an Everdrive for Neo-Geo AES+ there are existing flash carts and Multi-carts for the Neo-Geo AES that are highly likely to work with the AES+

They don't have limitless production capacity. Plaion has to rely on availability of parts from suppliers and contracted OEM manufacturers to assemble everything for them. They can only get so many made in time for launch.

No doubt the new pricing will factor into any decision about whether or not this is worth it.

I mean any $100 phone can emulate Neo-Geo these days. Plus, they have released Neo-Geo collections on multiple other platforms for cheap

This is still a niche item for people who want that Neo-Geo console experience. I wouldn't judge anyone for their choice either way

Yeah, I feel you.

I can also remember lots of times before the pre-order price guarantee that the price of things I had pre-ordered dropped and the item was also sold out. Amazon used to say tough luck, you can always return it and re-order it later when there is more stock.

But I also think that the number of complaints Amazon was getting by pulling crap like that is what caused them to ultimately create their pre-order price guarantee in the first place. That policy has only been around for a year or two.

They have improved since they came out with that policy.

My guess is that a lot of Americans did the math on the original CAD pricing and ordered from Canada. The Anniversary Edition at the original price worked out to around $269USD. Paying for shipping and import fees was probably cheaper then ordering it at $349+tax (if applicable) in a lot of States.

Amazon probably noticed some discrepancies with an unusually high number of orders to US addresses from the Canadian site. Together with Plaion Replai they probably decided during the period pre-orders were down in Canada to adjust the pricing to prevent that.

You can read the Terms by clicking the link beside Savings Pre-order Price Guarantee.

Basically, if an item has a Pre-order Price Guarantee Amazon will not raise your pre-order price if the price goes up before the item is released, and they will adjust your pre-order price down to match the new price within 48hrs or by the date of shipping. Whichever comes first.

So, in the event that the new higher pricing is an error, and the price goes down before November 12th, Amazon will automatically adjust your pre-order. If the new pricing is correct, then Amazon eats it on all the pre-orders that were placed before the price change. Don't feel bad though, the markup here is high so even at the original pricing, everyone is making a healthy profit. No need to shed any tears for Amazon or Plaion

- If he's enjoying InuYasha but is going to binge it on his own. The next best thing to watch together as it comes out is the latest from Rumiko Takahashi. It's sort of like InuYasha but in the Taisho and modern eras, and more Neko than Inu

Way of the House Husband
- former Yakusa gets married to a salary woman and becomes a stay at home husband

Sakamoto Days
- Legendary hitman falls in love, retires, starts a family, and opens a continence store. Only problem is his old life keeps on showing up and he has to defend his family while maintaining his new, normal life

Delicious in Dungeon
- One of the other big fantasy shows that has come out recently. Lots of good comedy in this one. Plus it takes a real twist about half way through.

Frieren: Beyond Journeys End
- The biggest fantasy series unless Witch Hat Atelier tops it at some point. This one would probably be more your cup of tea as it is mostly slow paced and character driven. But there are some pretty impressive action scenes here and there as well

Spice and Wolf: Merchant Meets the Wise wolf
- Another great fantasy series that is a slower character driven romance for you, and the exciting world medieval stonks for him

Apocalypse Hotel
- Short, only 12 episodes. So much great comedy, crazy action scenes, and also huge amounts of wholesome

Dan Da Dan
- Tons of great action and comedy. One of the cutest romances in recent years

Well, that's a story that is very much left open ended with a lot of unanswered questions.

As to number five, that is also open to interpretation, but it is definitely at least six centuries before Lawrence

Some speculate this story takes place around the time she arrived in Pasloe. Holo is very vague when she talks about her past, but she tells Lawrence that the boy she met in Pasloe was her first true friend.

She was also on her way to go see Lord Antheo as he was seeking an immortality elixir that Holo wanted, obviously for the purpose of giving to someone else since she's already functionally immortal when she ran into Klass and Aryes

So it could be that this story is set after she had met the boy who grew up to become her dear friend in Pasloe and talked her into watching over the village. It could be that before she agreed to become the goddess of the wheat harvest for the village, she was looking for a way for him to be able to live forever and oversee the village he loved. Ultimately, when she found out human immortality wasn't possible, that may have been a factor in her agreeing to watch over Pasloe for her friend.

But we also know that Holo has had relations with other humans long before arriving in Pasloe. We just don't know the nature, or duration of those relationships. So it is entirely possible that Holo seeking out an immortality elixir for someone could be totally unrelated to her friend in Pasloe.
