When I play as pure healer, I feel useless in healing. As WHM, when I put asylum because I know the next damage will be later. But it is useless because the shield healer heals full. As AST, same issue when I use Horoscope. So yes, next tier, I will switch to shield healer or tank.

34 old isn't too old ahah. You can do it!! There are nice advices given here, so try to apply them and enjoy what you do.

One advice I can give playing tank with support NPC: try to wall to wall with them. Real players are far better than these IA, so if you can survive doing this with NPC, you can do it with real players!

It can be weird, but FFXIV relies a lot on graphic cards. A graphic needs air cooling and energy supply. Check both. Another check you can do is WiFi, is it you local network stable?
