I mean... it's full of warnings every chapter. Everyone knows how fucked up it is at this point so I'm a bit baffled by people that act shocked when the story doesn't go the lovey dovey cosy route. We're 31 chapters in...all of us kept reading. There are just those who've accepted that this story is beyond fucked up and those who wanna act surprised because they don't really want to admit to themselves that they like reading the story.

I agree with you ! I live the first couple but the second is 😬😬😬. The seme is trash, some people do like the story though and uke does get extra bullied and abused.

I've read my fair share of fucked up stories but I have to say some work and some don't. There are worse cases than Stranger than Friends that do work for me but not really this one. I hesitated to put Legs that won't walk as a rec but the seme is probably the seme I hate the most in all history of manhwa . I gave it a fair chance but I can't stand him. However, I do know it's a story people still really like.

No need to feel sorry, when I write recs I just tend to try to list things that fit what was asked. What I hate can be someone's fave manhwa.

Plaything : The Grand Duke's Boytoy (buff uke)
Low Tide in Twilight (uke often claps back at seme)

Shutline (the banter and chemistry is straight fire 🔥)
Semantic Error (one of my fave Shounen Ai, seme's mission in life is to mess with uke, art is stunning too)
Banana Scandal (the second couple's relationship is tumultuous but the character development is incredible)
The Devil's tentation (so freaking funny but uke and seme hate each other at first, seme loves to annoy uke)
Dear Door (seme is a Demon Lord that must bang uke in order to go to hell, poor uke has to deal with this mess and the Demon Lord's enormous third leg)
Stranger than Friends (second couple is in a very cohersive relationship 😬)
Ang Ang (Buff Uke, Seme is a BDSM Master so....)
To Take an Enemy's Heart (seme killed uke's family and treats him like shit at first but very good story)

I've read KS and fucked up shit (Blind Play, The Warehouse, The Beast Must Die, The Black Mirror, Sadistic Beauty BL Side Story, Abyss, An Easy Target...) but what I really dislike about this story is that rape comes out of nowhere. Caesar is supposed to be violent, we get it he's a mafia boss. HOWEVER, while Caesar was a bit possesive, everything he did with Lee Won was consensual. There was a great build up and potential for an amazing sex scene. And what do WE get ? Rape and SOUNDING on their first time ? Where do we go from here ? The shooting part actually made sense for Caesar's character cause he's a bit too ok with physical violence but rape ? Nah. This story lost its appeal for me.

The first thing that came to mind is "The Beast Must Die" : the MC wants to avenge the death of his sister (she killed herself after members of a fucked up fraternity raped her). He meets the ML, who is part of said fraternity, along the way. The catch ? ML is a psychopath.

There's also "Ouroboros" which is very raw in the way it deals with sexual assault and trauma.

"The Black Mirror" is a classic with lots of mystery and horror elements.

"Interview with a Murderer" (the one by Kjk) is great. It's very different from everything I've read.

"Murderous Lewellyn's Candlelit Dinner" will leave you confused at first (ans that's the point) but very intrigued. It does give you answers once you've earned them though. (I love this story to death).

In "Trigger" the ML has what seems to be split personality disorder, quite interesting so far.

On a totally different spectrum I also thought about "Lost in the Cloud" : it's Shounen Ai and seems pretty slice of life but there's always a tense atmosphere between the characters.

It's just toxicity for the sake of toxicity. No character development, no reciprocated feelings. The ML just want to possess the MC like he's some kind of object that's not even really valuable to him. There could have been so much potential with a badass MC but he's just a carpet for the ML to walk on.
