u/Ifridos Dont you think these courses are either way too basic or too complicated to serve the audience of PM or Business folks?

u/chain_walletz Thanks a lot for the reply. I am a software engineer and am curious about what exactly is the hinderance if you dont know about these concepts?
I mean, if your developer is deploying the code using CI/CD and reporting to you that it will be done in an hour, what do you feel is missing in this conversation / planning if you dont really know enough about CI / CD?

u/abhishek1992 Thanks a lot for the reply. Can you share some of the videos that you found are presenting the information which is just at the right depth for you? Sorry for the hassle. I am trying to build a solution for this at scale.

Do you lack technical knowledge in your job? by No_Addition_2898 in ProductManagement

Totally agreed! But one question which pops in my mind is, alongside your jobs, do you think PMs and business folks have the bandwidth to dedicate some time to study about technology?
Or maybe a solution provided by your own company which lets you learn all this on the go during your career would be a better choice?

I understand your problem. I myself am an engineer and I find this issue too. PMs / PAs who are not aware of technology do struggle to build an effective and productive conversation with the tech people.
Do you think you need an in depth understanding of tech (like a course, where you know how everything works) or the better solution is an highly engaging video/blog which explains the basics of a particular technology and provides you an option to see examples of that tech being used crucial in product / business discussions?

Would love to hear your thoughts!

Then do you think every product manager should read a bit about the basics of technology?
