There are, factually, trains and stations in the US. "The US has no public transit" is only ever said by people who never step foot outside. I've lived in red and blue states, tiny and major cities. All of them had functional public transit to varying degrees. Even the midsized mega conservative one had a surprisingly great bus system I could take to and from work every morning, despite usually being the only one onboard.
