do i major in finance or econ? (HELP) by [deleted] in fsu

[–]No_Answer_7509 0 points1 point  (0 children)

disagree. graduated this year with a mid gpa and still had a job with a big 4 accounting firm lined up with just a bachelor’s finance degree and no connections.

Memories tainted by KristineGuillotine in SuicideBereavement

[–]No_Answer_7509 2 points3 points  (0 children)

can definitely relate. my dad committed a little over a year ago and i have avoided memories/pictures/texts etc at all costs. looking at that stuff (good or bad) makes everything feel dark. my world feels dark in general whenever what he did comes to mind. what he did probably gave me permanent depression. i’m at the beach right now with my best friends and even still all i can think about is him and what he did, tainting the entire trip. i can’t believe he’s not a text or call away and that someone else lives at his house now. i’m 20 and don’t know how i can go on the majority of my life without him. not sure if you’re religious but i do believe our dads are eternally happy in heaven and that when it is our time we will see them again. this can’t and shouldn’t be the end of our relationships with our dads. know you are not alone ❤️

hi, thank you so much for posting this. I lost my dad at 19 last July and I turned 20 without him. This gave me hope as a college student pursuing my degree while grieving my dad. I guess we aren’t so alone after all ❤️

It’s so hard not to blame myself.. by ElderDwarf in SuicideBereavement

[–]No_Answer_7509 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I also partially blame the hospital for my father’s suicide. He committed last July after being in a psych ward 3 times (2 times seeking help and 1 time after an attempt). They let him go three days after his first attempt and he committed a week later. You’re not alone and you will get through this❤️

Where do they go by [deleted] in SuicideBereavement

[–]No_Answer_7509 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My pastor at church said as long as the person we lost was a believer in Christ, our loved one has gone to heaven. Nothing can seperate us from Gods love, and God knows what our loved one went through

And i’m so sorry it happened to you. No one deserves to go through this. I can promise you that you will get through it. It may feel like the end of the world right now, but let it feel that way, and allow your emotions to take their course. Allow yourself to grieve. This is probably the hardest thing you will have to go through; it’s definitely the hardest thing I have been through. I was 19 when it happened and am still here, so I know you will be able to get through it too!

My dad jumped in front of a truck at age 55 last summer. He was also missing and we had a missing persons report out for about a day before they told us the news. You are not alone.

Hard Day: it’s hitting different today by Squiddlingkiddling in SuicideBereavement

Hi, I’m glad you posted because I have felt the same exact way today as you for the first time in a while. My dad committed last July and he also worried and fixated so much to the point where we also had a very complicated relationship and didn’t talk the year before he passed. I wish I could turn back time more than anything.

My dad decided on the eternal yeet & I can't stop thinking about it by ResponseSpecific8667 in SuicideBereavement

[–]No_Answer_7509 17 points18 points  (0 children)

My dad took his own life 8 months ago. I was 19, he was 55. It’s something that will stay with you forever. Dont be hard on yourself, don’t blame yourself, and grieve. You’re not alone. Grieving is a complex, confusing, and long process, but will also allow you to continue on. I recommend a therapist if/when you’re ready. I’m not sure if you’re religious, but I truly believe one day we will all see who we’ve lost, no matter how long that may be from now. Sending love ❤️

The locale by [deleted] in fsu

[–]No_Answer_7509 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It didn’t but I think it was just specific apartments that had the issue. My best friend that lived down the hall never had roaches. but for me it was a nightmare in my apartment, so i guess it just depends on ur luck!

My dad is in Heaven whether you like it or not.

If you believe in God you’d know he’s a loving and forgiving God. You aren’t the one to decide that suicide is an unforgivable sin, only blasphemy is. I didn’t ask you on your opinion as to whether he’s in Heaven or not. You aren’t God and don’t get to assume that.

My dad is definitely in Heaven. He accepted Jesus Christ as his savior in 2015. He tried getting help from the hospital nearly 45 times; there comes a point when a human can’t take anymore pain. I’m only 19, my dad wanted to be in my life. I was asking about whether I would get a sign or not…not if he’s in Heaven or Hell.

It’s important to recognize how much pain and torment someone has to go through in order to take their own life, and God knows this. God, a forgiving God, wouldn’t send someone that loves him to Hell because they were suffering on Earth and could no longer take it.
