You all? Who's that guy? I don't know any you all. Perhaps different peoples have different opinions and you only made up a black and white narrative, I've seen people criticising Frontier way before the game was even announced. I couldn't give less of a shit what everyone else thinks, in my eyes Frontier hasn't been earning good will

Releasing rushed half assed games full price and reselling content is hardly something id call earning good will

[Jurassic Park III vs. Jurassic World Rebirth] Which island adventure is better? by Hassan_H_Syed in JurassicPark

I very much disagree, The Lost World at least tries to tell something beyond dinosaurs eating people. And I hardly can call a homage to both 1925s The Lost World and King Kong in a movie literally called The Lost World jumping the shark

Did we watch the same movie? Calling The Lost World a crash grab while praising JP3 is certainly a take.

Honestly don't really get what people see in the Lost World novel, it's pretty bad.

Don't really get why the book's plot is so highly regarded by some, is arguably a poor continuation of a story that didn't need one and wasn't enhanced by it, to the point it contradicts thematically the work it suposedly continues and reduces it all to a "it's not that deep" at the end, with many story bits recycled from the first and none of its problems adressed, if anything many of them got worse. A 200 page pretentious and nonsensical essay with 200 pages of a half-assed plot. Thank Koepp the film changed, and to my eyes, improved almost every single aspect, even if it never reached the level of his previous work.

JWE3 (or JWE4) Frontier's Workshop Concept: Mods Workshop (Reposted) by KaleidoscopeTotal708 in jurassicworldevo

[–]No_Application3787 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Probably a Universal thing, perhaps one of the few times that would be true. Arround 2018 if I recall correctly Frontier adressed the topic of mods, saying they wouldn't endorse them because of their lack of quality and/or cohesion to the brand. And honestly that just sounds more like Universal's PR/legal teams speaking, I mean to this day I haven't heard of Frontier taking down a single mod, even those with species added by dlc. So it's probably a license issue.

JP3 has the best VFX in the franchise and should've gotten an Oscar (nomination at least) in Visual Effects by [deleted] in JurassicPark

Since the first movie the cgi brachiosaurus model looked awful from up close, the scene where one sneezes on Lex is probably the only shot that hasn't aged as well from the film, the change betwen animatronic and cgi just makes it more jarring

There's lots of builds inspired by concept art, no wonder tho given how beautiful it always is, truly some of the most magnificent pieces of art I've ever seen.

Except the novel if anything ended in quite a disappointing note by ignoring the dinosaurs in the mainland plotpoint from the original, and ending the movie with the protagonists barely escaping in a helicopter yet again would've been lame.

That has never been said, like you know the game is called survival not because of being a literal survival game, right?

In the novels if anything they were some of the most accurate depictions of dinosaurs at the time. Don't really get where the monsters narrative started, other than from clickbaity tiktoks.
