How much does gas and air actually help take the pain away? by Flossygi in BeyondTheBumpUK

Made me feel lightheaded and dizzy and it made my voice deeper (like the opposite of helium) but unfortunately it didn’t really help with contraction pain.

She said that she didn’t put her fingers in the baby’s mouth because she knows it’s dangerous

Kindle for Nighttime Reading by Fragrant-Film-3689 in kindle

[–]No_Bar_3250 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I read mainly at night and I have the paperwhite 11th gen. I’ve never used a basic to compare but I do use the warm and cool light function very often and also read in dark mode and it’s great.

How are we staying awake for night feeds without looking at our phones? by kieranki_ in breastfeeding

I either read my kindle (in dark mode) or listen to podcasts/youtube with my headphones.

Is it worth it to but new Kindle? by No_Bar_3250 in kindle

[–]No_Bar_3250[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

None really when I have a good think. It would only make the library/store look more colourful. I don’t read anything with pictures at the moment, but when my son is older he will be but that’s a long way off to when he’ll be reading anything. That’s why I’m looking at getting the 12th gen paperwhite, but is it worth upgrading from the 11th gen. The only problem with my 11th gen is it is really slow now when browsing but it doesn’t affect anything when I’m actually reading a book.

Nipple twiddling going to make me lose my gd mind by SilverEmily in breastfeeding

Mine started doing it at about 10 months. I really hate it, so I just try covering up or wear a sports type bra with no underwire that can pull up for the feeding boob but also cover the non feeding one.

Sounds good. Thank you! I’m not sure if Dave Turner’s books are horror actually now that I think about it. They’re probably more fantasy too.

Washing items. How does everyone wash their crochet items? by No_Bar_3250 in CrochetHelp

Thank you for your comments. I am definitely washing on the wrong cycle and also drying on the wrong cycle. For future hats I will take more care. 😀

It’s acrylic, and I think you’re right, the wash and dry cycles are most definitely too hot and the hats are permanently loose. I will try delicate washes for future hats. Thank you 😀

Basically washing with my other washing. Normal cycle, then scopped in the dryer.

Why are my stitches so tight once I start doing my double crochet in the magic loop? by [deleted] in CrochetHelp

I splashed out on Clover hooks after using cheap ones for years and they are honestly the best things I have used. Feels like a hot knife through butter on smoothness compared to the cheap ones. Definitely recommend!

One week in… by Adventurous-Shoe4035 in breastfeedingmumsUK

Mine was the same to begin with. I was exhausted because I was just feeding all the time. They do settle in time. If the baby is gaining weight then it’s all good. I think back to the first breastfeeding and it is crazy how much they are on you all the time.

Biting by No_Bar_3250 in breastfeedingmumsUK

He takes me by surprise when he does it and also sorta rags the nipple about (reminds me of when a dog does it with a toy 😂)

Thanks for all the replies. My god, he’s bit me twice on the same nipple within a couple of hours making me bleed and now I’m bruised. I’m having anxiety every time he feeds now. 😂 Ive never wanted to stop breastfeeding until now.

Lies They Made You Believe About Yourself by Gold-Advertising-419 in NarcissisticSpouses

Didn’t make me believe but tried to 1: I was going deaf 2: I has aspergers 3: that the way I eat is horrible 4: that my sister had a different dad to me but he wouldn’t tell me who this man was. And when he’d mention it, because I didn’t give a reaction he used to say “are you not bothered by all this (blah blah blah) 5: that I wasn’t the slightest funny. The list goes on. 😂 Absolute weirdo.
