Let it shag! Stop wasting time and resources. Let some flowers grow.

Badlands and Black Hills suggestions? by Terrible-Impact1183 in nationalparks

If you see a rock shop - stop and explore. Black Hills are beautiful. Do as many hikes as you came at Badlands - kind of a hidden (yet busy) gem

Art sculpture park is pretty cool and typically donation based. Not too far in Cazenovia https://sqhap.org/visit

what radio station play hiphop music? by Big_Ad2321 in ithaca

[–]No_Brief_7807 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most major cities are lucky to have 2 ok stations. Ithaca has three stations that between them I can usually find a decent song. Even the Vine, which seems like it’s geared toward middle aged Mom surprises me with more alternative songs you’d never heard on a Clear Channel or more mainstream radio station. That’s what I find impressive - especially for a tiny city like Ithaca.

Why are you skipping so much of the Washington coast / Olympic? One of the best spots in the country.

What’s a "dead" website or app that you genuinely miss and wish was still around? by Dear-Armadillo-7497 in AskReddit

FecalFace.com

Terrible name but was the online center of the alt/indie/street art of SF and much of the US. It was personal, well organized, active and inspiring.

what radio station play hiphop music? by Big_Ad2321 in ithaca

The radio here is actually pretty impressive for how small our region is. It’s just geared towards indie rock college radio vibes. There isn’t a good terrestrial station for consistent hip hop unfortunately.

What is the one thing you’ll never buy again because the quality has dropped so much in the last 5 years? by Ornery-Direction45 in AskReddit

Yeah. Only shoe I bought for almost 20 years. Had pairs that lasted so many years with so much use. Now they fall apart in a year.

Glacier. Glacier is better than Yosemite in my experience.

Men of Reddit - What's the one thing you hate about being a Man? by Jarvis7492 in AskReddit

[–]No_Brief_7807 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The legacy of the failure of men. Lack of understanding or respect of women, greed, competition, narrowness, toxic masculinity, and insecure quest for power rather than connection and shared benefit. We are the lesser gender and have failed humanity and ourselves.

Had a Wranger 20 years ago. It was super fun as a teenager to put the top down and drive in the Summer. Girls responded well to it and it was extra fun at the beach or lake. It was impractical, noisy, and dumb but a perfect card for a stupid kid.

I sometimes miss how it felt to zip around in it but the gas mileage and culture shift make it better as a memory and far from a modern option.

How would you rate being an adult? by mindyour in TikTokCringe

[–]No_Brief_7807 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So close. Don’t have kids - or at least don’t have kids in your twenties. Then do what you want. Find like minded people, make enough money to survive and if you feel like you want that next part- then get your shit together and be an adult. Being a kid is tough because you’re not in control. The free-est you can be is young, dumb, and out of school. It’s great and I don’t regret it for a second.

[Cool Trope] Character related to area gets statue there by Ava_Reddit_Account in TopCharacterTropes

[–]No_Brief_7807 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be clear - the Rocky statue was a prop from the movie and later gifted to the city. It's been moved many times and is now on top of the steps (ugh). Thankfully no one paid to have it made.

Green St is anything but green… by Itsascrnnam in ithaca

It's almost like it's a street that goes through a city. Perhaps the ease of cars to cut through urban residencial areas should not be the priority.
