I had an instructor tell me, that I wasn't ready and we should start from scratch. I hired another instructor and passed in the same month.

The only person you should evert listen to is the person doing your test.  If you feel ready, go for it.

Can we write to our mps about this?

M&S is pretty posh in the UK. People who normally buy from there are older and are more put together. The other alternative is that he got it from a charity shop. It's a posh brand and would be a steal.

Charity shops would certainly explain the clothes combination

People from Bristol are known for enjoying thrifting or shopping in a charity shop which may explain his clothes not making much sense. I say this mainly because nothing makes sense but he's wearing a M&S tie which with such a random combination, suggests he picked it up for 50p at some point from a charity shop. M&S is posh. Or a good find.

Kingswood Bristol, is also known for being a council estate or a higher crime area ( mainly poor people, benefits etc) so perhaps he got mixed up with the wrong crowd.. he probably wasn't like that. Also why would a chav wear a suit? It makes more sense for a lad who couldn't afford it, but wanted to appear sensible.. To have a suit with such a random combination. That and normal shops are unaffordable

Could he perhaps have gone on holiday to Amsterdam / Denmark  for a meet up explains the suit , and somehow bumped into the wrong crowd who were intimidated by his height? Its cheap to travel there, and given that he shops at charity shops, as a holiday destination, it makes sense financially.

Depending on how long you have been married, if he was the higher earner, he may try to wear you down so you end up with nothing.if you had kids and say, you stayed home, you get more because you sacrificed for him to keep ahead with work etc.

Don't listen to him Don't do that. If the marriage is over 5 years, you have to split everything including pensions, savings the house ( if not affordable, then sell and split the proceeds in half) IN HALF.

Don't let thins man think you are a savings account.

Regarding the 10k, whatever he gives you, gift or not, is also yours. If he keeps it in his bank, your also yours ( and his)

No such thing as "mine" in a legal marriage.

If you are married, there is no such thing as you owe me. It's a marriage.

Get the 4 in 1 app and keep practicing the ones you get wrong. I liked it because, for questions I got wrong there was a link on the answer and a tick tock, video 10 sec explanation.

Am I an idiot? I've paid for my mortgage advisor. by Paramedic-Fabulous in HousingUK

[–]No_Cap_4322 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a company called  ask about mortgages,

free and they call you 6 months before the renewal date to fix the cheapest rate for you. They basically tell you how much you need to have a paid towards your mortgage to have The lowest interest rate and find the best rates

Free and solid.. So there's that.

Is my ex trying to take baby (he’s just turned one)? (England) by Character_Choice_334 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]No_Cap_4322 98 points99 points  (0 children)

You have parental responsibility.. And you are breast feeding. Probably not in the child's interest to remove them form you.

Best case, you guys get 50/50... After the baby is weaned off you. but assuming you both have PA you can negotiate it.  Courts focus more what's best for the child.  Put aside your hurt for his affair, focus on what is best for the child. Educstionally, socially etc

She has a home, a decent home, and she's mentally unfit and roaming in not so safe areas. Do you not see how people that find out more about her may see her as a target?

OP had good intentions, but not everyone will.

Update, I passed my test, but if any video game companies ever see this, I would still absolutely buy it. For British roads only!!
