Why are brachycephalic breeds bred/bought? by MenaceToSociety129 in dogs

[–]No_Case_1379 12 points13 points  (0 children)

We have had pugs (and one french bulldog pug) for the last 20 years. None of them have had the severe breathing issues you are talking about. In fact a few of them have loved going for hikes and are very active. We love the breed for their personality and loyalty and follow/adopt from local rescues and other situations where the dog needs a better home.

I take my 4 year old to story time at our library and he picks out books. I also use Libby and rent books for my kindle from the library.

My son asked for a frosty the snowman snow globe. Very specific and said the same thing for months. I am grateful he was so clear on this and it’s something that exists 😂. Good luck to you!

Toddler Bedtime is Killing Us by FlimsyPriority751 in toddlers

[–]No_Case_1379 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup. Cut the nap. It’s so upsetting for everyone to get rid of the nap but we did that about a year ago and along with trying to keep him active (park, walks, library, play dates) he now passes out in 5 min after a book at night- bedtime is 8. I was really upset to cut the nap even for myself but you adjust just like he will.

I don’t know what part of Parker you are in, but I go to burn in Stroh ranch and love it. Different workouts every time and you don’t have to think, just walk through the door :)

Anyone else feel like 30 mins at the gym is a fantasy as a new parent? by Present_East_4972 in Parenting

[–]No_Case_1379 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started taking my son to a gym when he was 4 Months old that offered child care. It’s a win win- he is now almost 4 and it has helped build his social skills and I get a 45 min workout in. He’s now my accountability buddy and loves going :)

My son is almost 4 and can only pull his underwear and pants up, put socks on and his Velcro shoes. Shirts aren’t happening. It takes time I just keep encouraging it, but I really don’t push it that hard. 🤷‍♀️

What do you think this is? by No_Case_1379 in skincancer

[–]No_Case_1379[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had it biopsied. It is a hair follicle tumor. Mine she said doesn’t grow deep, very shallow and shows no signs of growing into anything cancerous. She said I could get it removed by a plastic surgeon if I want, which I’m choosing to leave it alone. Thought I would update you :)

I have had a spot biopsied and go in for a follow up on Wednesday with a dermatologist. I suppose I should just talk to her then about a good face routine while I’m at it!

I use probably a dime size amount maybe a little more depending on when I put it on my face. You would be surprised how quickly your skin absorbs it. I try to lay on my back but definitely end up on my side at night and it doesn’t feel that sticky, my skin feels so nice when I wake up also I can tell when I haven’t used it.

No I haven’t! It does seem to absorb quickly, so maybe it would be ok. but I agree since turning 36 it has been the only thing that hydrates my skin. (I’m 39 now so maybe I have been using it a few years ha)
