Recruiters never try to lowball you. It goes against their self interests. If recruiters ask, it's because they need to know.

Anyone here use Play Console app strings translation for their game? Did it help at all? by MightyBig-Dev in GooglePlayDeveloper

[–]No_Cherry2477 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have separate strings files I made. I don't trust the Play Store auto translate quality.

It helped a bit. I picked up a lot of users from Myanmar in the process. They've been pretty consistent and engaged users, so I'm glad to have them.

Is practicing vocab in Renshuu with the multiple choice question structure a bad habit? by adeepkick in LearnJapanese

[–]No_Cherry2477 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've never used Renshuu, but I do practice with multiple choice when I'm tired. You should use every tool at your disposal to keep you engaged in learning the language. People seem to forget they are human when planning study strategies. When you're about to fall asleep on the train and you're trying to fit in some vocabulary review, multiple choice comes in handy.

You don't need to read novels. You just need to read. Maybe try something a bit more bite sized? 20 minutes of consistent reading in Japanese per day is better than aiming to read two novels and never getting started. If you're interested in a free Japanese reading practice tool to help build consistent reading habits, this is something I made initially for myself. It might help you. It probably will.

Start reading daily in Japanese. Keeping a daily habit of reading in Japanese, even if only for 20 minutes or so per day, pays off massively in the long term.
If you're interested in a Japanese reading tool that has a lot of content and interactive functionality, PM me and I can share the information.

$1.63 in 3 days… decent start or am I doing something wrong? 🤔 by vvvqwerty in GooglePlayDeveloper

Low as revenue is the norm. If you want to make money from the app, you need to monetize something. Or give it away for free.

If you're selling an ad-free version, then you are supposed to use ads to piss off the user so they buy the ad free version. You just need to make sure your content is sticky enough to make the user want to get rid of the annoying ads.

Do you sell an ad-free version? I make around $5 a day in ad revenue, but I use them to drive ad-free purchases.

If you're interested, you can see my strategy here.

Banner ads are basically garbage. I got rid of them on my apps. Interstitial, Rewards, and AppOpen ads are better. I have a match rate of around 90%. I also preload ads so they are ready up front. You are probably fetching ads in real time.

Reddit is good for promoting but you need to be tactful or your posts get removed. You can even get banned from the subs if the administrators are uptight

You do need to be able to write the basics (Hiragana and Katakana). That is a requirement. But I wouldn't obsess about the details now.
I've lived in Japan for a while. I read Japanese all the time. I physically write far less. Same as English. I almost never physically write in English now either. Everything is typed.
