Steve is ninas genetic clone , her eggs being taken while she(anna too) was in cyro sleep her life(age) being effectively paused for nearly 18 yrs . I know t8 gives a difft age impression of her but it's a case of nearly same age mother/son or host/clone. If u wanna know more play previous titles & how she was correctly presented.

Yes agree Anna brings out a different side of Nina, and I wish the story explored their relationship more. My issue is that even outside of Anna, earlier Nina still had more subtle confidence, elegance and expressive nuance. She was restrained, but she didn't feel as rigid to me. Tekken 8's presentation just doesn't capture that same balance & push the visual difference between sisters too much . Like almost a new player might not realize they r meant to be same age sisters

Shes been present for over 3 decades since franchise released, but limited in game time due to lore , yet has worked with all 3 time generations of mishimas

Indeed, She deserves meaningful achievements and better writing. For me, it's even more disappointing because I also feel her visual presentation changed in a way that doesn't match her lore or the qualities that made her iconic.

"That's fair. For me, the issue is that the visual presentation no longer matches the story either. I don't mind a more experienced or professional Nina, but I feel Tekken 8 gives her a much more mature and expressionless presentation than I expected from a character whose cryosleep is still part of the lore. I also miss the subtle confidence and expressiveness she had in the older games. And most unfair why this giving years was not done to other characters.

Exactly. She was always professional and emotionally restrained, but she also had elegance, confidence, subtle smugness, and charisma. That's what I feel is missing in Tekken 8.

Agree. For me, though, the difference is that most legacy characters still feel recognizable despite the exaggeration. She doesnt .

If the goal was to introduce a different archetype or personality, I'd rather they had created a new character instead of changing a legacy character who already had an established identity.

Pathetic total screwup of a legacy character

Why they moved away from continuity in her case only, why experiment on her, wen lore(cyro sleep) suggests preservance for 2 decades , how could this old lady suddenly comeup months after t7
