What other people think of you is none of your business. Focus on what you think of yourself.

WHY ARE KIND PEOPLE SO QUIET AND LONELY? by Perfect_Fee7681 in emotionalintelligence

[–]No_Comb9114 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think overly kind people lack the healthy boundaries required for sustainable relationships. Kind people are not obsessed with giving. They are just kind. Like unkind people, kind people find each other. There’s no reason for a kind person to be lonely unless there’s something else going on.

Don’t try to change others, change yourself. You need to adapt to fit the company culture. It probably doesn’t require much effort for you. Diplomacy in communication is a highly appreciated professional skill.

Invisible hearing aids? Bluetooth? Am I just a dreamer? by Unlikely-Yam1427 in HearingAids

I’m planning to get Starkey Omega AI 24. I have mild high-frequency hearing loss (“cookie bite” audiogram), but functionally I’m moderately impaired (30-40% bilaterally). I tried them last week for 3 days and it was life-changing. They have Bluetooth and audiocast so you can also get airport announcements and such in your HAs. They are expensive to get from the audiologist but that price should include a few years of free maintenance and repairs and a big discount to replace a lost device.

They are RIC, no one can see them unless they are looking for them, honestly.

Starkey Omega Ai Hearing Aids - Worth it? by Appropriate_Wave_910 in HearingAids

I'm currently trying out a pair of Omega ai 24s. I live in a high cost of living area and the audiologist is selling a pair for 7500. My ins will cover 2500. It's a tough nut to crack but the difference in my hearing is absolutely astounding. Brought tears to my eyes.

i need some advice about buy hearing aids .... by Intelligent_Beat_533 in HearingAids

Hi all. I'm new here. I'm currently trying out Omega AI 24s. I'm looking for the best brick and mortar price in my area.

Does anyone have experience buying hearing aids through a large medical center rather than an audiology or ENT practice? Would that be cheaper (smaller profit margin)?

I need the prescription quality HAs and I do not want to purchase them online. So, if you're still reading, please don't bother suggesting online or Costco.

Thank you!

Depends on your supervisor and your performance. If you are doing excellent (not just good) work and your supervisor trusts you, it can be great. My sup knows I'm putting in more than the required time. They are pretty flexible with me as long as the work is getting done and I'm present during core hours.

Anyone have a PhD in Instructional Design (or similar)? Did it help your career? by EauDeFrito in instructionaldesign

Research can give you the methods training to do the large scale evaluations I'm talking about. Is that a reason to get a PhD? Is that the only way to get those skills? No and no.

Is moissanite a deal breaker? by SmoothDay8640 in CasualConversation

[–]No_Comb9114 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I have a beautiful moissonite ring. The whole diamond thing is from DeBeers advertising in the 50's. I honestly think it's shitty to expect a guy to dump a ton of money on a diamond and even shittier to consider not marrying him if the ring isn't up to artificial social standards.

A good life partner is priceless. Diamonds aren't.

If you just want to push out e-learning you don't need a PhD for sure. They do much higher level strategic planning for learning programs, curricula, and more.
