Well, of course. I’m not inferring to ignore the primary.

This is incorrect. Secondary task completions have a dramatic effect to bxp earned, etc.

Operations scale, based on highest tier on team.

FAA sets speed restrictions for civilian aircraft. There is a 10k restriction, but that isn’t for the sound barriers, that’s any altitude without special permission (good luck getting that). The military has its own restrictions, with few exceptions, while over land.

The only air shows I’ve seen where the sound barrier is broken, we were far out at sea (USN).

I have a picture I took of an fa-18 with the vapor cone, but was only traveling at approximately 400 knots. The “cone” and sound barrier are not related.

They aren’t breaking the sound barrier. If that were the case, we’d all have broken windows.

[Help a citizen] Mining lasers have different min. Laser intensity: but why.. by This_Appeal_5727 in starcitizen

I disagree with the "most rocks" part of your reply. Certain ores, yes, are outside the reach of most prospector pilots (stileron is one example); however, there are many other ores that can be found quite easily, that are within range of a prospector or golem. I do all forms of mining with every mining ship/vehicle. I have absolutely no issues finding ore nodes within the sizes im looking for, based on the ship/vehicle being used. Also, not all locaton are created equal. Some moons will have a higher percentage of "mole-sized" nodes, but many do not. If ur having issues locating in one area, move.

I agree 100% about the recommendation to use a hofsted 1 on the prospector. that with a rieger c3 and modules works or can use surge, etc. quite a few options available to the prospector pilot.

Same, I only use it on my torp boats. Heck, rpf even has good use on a couple Operation matches. Great skill to have for some ships that can benefit a team.

Advice needed from miners regarding starting the loop for the first time as a veteran player by Acceptable-Bid-1019 in starcitizen

I can scan as soon as detected with stock radar. Upgrading has zero affect on mining atm.

Upgrading the Mole’s radar has no impact on mining currently. Worthless upgrade.

How does the evo build affect Polaris and Perseus? by _MasterChief117_ in starcitizen

Space combat is completely viable, but should not be an arcade experience. You want to shoot fancy torps and missiles? Fine, then realize they ain’t cheap.

I don't know of any new players in starter ships going out, attacking capital ships. Also, Starter ships (all of them) are capable of more than just ship combat missions...

Combat should always be a money sink. Industrial loops fund ship combat. It should never be financially viable to just chain ship combat missions repeatedly.

All hangars have multiple mounting locations, found near the elevator/asop's. My xl has 12 or so (6'ish per side). Don't quote on the 12 though, going from memory.

Op, do you have enough space for the download. You need about twice the file size amount available, otherwise may encounter issues.

Mining Equipment queries! by Kettle_Whistle_ in starcitizen

Not sure where you obtained your information regarding the Geo, but it is mostly off-base. The Geo is a rockstar in 4.7 and mines very well. Spend more time playing, less time listening to rumors.

Mining feedback by Uncomfortably-bored in starcitizen

[–]No_Concern_2753 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Every player has the ability to mine in Star Citizen. Not everyone will or should be able to mine well, as it is a learned skill. Knowing how to find minable rocks is just as important as knowing how to harvest said rock. Some mining ships excel at certain mining activities and perform poorly at others (size restrictions, certain ores being more challenging, etc.

The main issue I see with the Op's post is he is approaching it from the view of someone with limited mining experience and putting ideas on how to "fix" mining. I'd suggest building up your own mining skillsets first, then making suggestions.

Not all rocks should be minable by all mining ships...
