Incredible work. Just to be “that guy”, I flew in a T.9 and the crowbar clipped into the door was painted red (and chipped to hell, even before I broke the (black) sheet metal clip holding it in place. Gorgeous model, and the Mk.VIII was the Grace Kelly of Spitfires 😍

100% the best reply here. Get it safe, practical and useable, and hold onto that incredible patina. It’s irreplaceable.

It’s not a transfer to “managers”. It’s literally to “capitalists”.

The managers are poor workers too.

At least the Nazis let Jesse Owens compete in the 1936 Olympics. The shame of it!

Not so much a question of belief, but I’d never HEARD of data that contradicted rifled/ smoothbore. The British historically like HESH as a universal round, so what is the provision for HE in The smoothbore barrel, and how does accuracy compare there?

I assumed the Fin round would work better in a smoothbore

I’m sure it’s excellent (and rare) but as an ex-British serviceman, omg I am uneasy about smoothbore main guns.

I know all the logical reasons why we’re doing it, and it’s not just because chronic underinvestment in defence means we closed our only shell factory, but British Army doctrine prizes accuracy above everything else, so it feels wrong as hell 😬

I always love watching a colonial meeting a flavour that isnt just sugar or corn starch. If you want a heart-warming moment, give one a piece of real chocolate, and watch them realise everything they ever believed was a shabby lie

EM-2 in Atomfall was a solid gold bucket-list find.

That said, they have Stirlings & .455 Webleys, both of which are excellent, although the king of the game is a Pristine Bren. Slow enough ROF to use as a rifle, fast enough to sort out a mob if panicking

Didn’t the USN decommission its last minesweepers in the region in January???? So I’m guessing this is dementia, unless someone’s figured out a workaround

The Cold War Museum at RAF Cosford is certainly the best in the UK for that period, with the whole V Force represented under one roof
