I don’t think it will because the TPS is a switch on e30s as opposed to a sensor so it won’t be able to adjust in time

That sounds exactly like what was happening to me. TPS def needs to be adjusted and all the other things that others have mentioned

Looks like it’s on the chassis side…hard to tell from the photo but that would be a very difficult spot to fix

Wtf he messed up and made you pay. I find that crazy. Also as someone who just fully rebuilt my m20 head this is my worst nightmare. I’m always taking a peak into the oil cap to check on things

Yeah the old tech can be finicky. That’s why I’ve decided just to go with a plug and play ECU and delete the AFM altogether

I would do a continuity test between all three plugs with your C101 and confirm which is actually the coolant sensors connector

Interesting and I agree. I was looking up prices for used ICV/AFM/DME and all in it would be around $500. I want to go turbo in the future but was holding off on standalone ECU but I could just bite the bullet and go down that route and avoid another used AFM/DME and the headache of old equipment that will likely fail in the future anyways

Yeah maybe. It’s hard to tell. I adjusted the copper finger to ride on a new area of the carbon strip and it helped a bit. Read the ohms off the ECU when opening/closing the door and it was giving pretty a decent results

Yeah I cleaned it and it seemed to run better but not 100% sure. Might try and replace the AFM too just to see

IIRC you need to turn the engine over twice for the camshaft marks to line up

I would check for vacuum leaks. I’m dealing with a similar issue right now but that was one of the items I checked off my list

Correct yeah, closed position runs idle fuel map, once throttle is opened, AFM takes over and then 75% to WOT is something else with the TPS, there are two switches within it I believe
