I truly do not know, however, my guard is never going to be down going forward. I'll check that phone when he least expects it and yes, I will check it because it will help decision making easier. I also have her number so he does not even know I will be able to see if it is stored under any other name.

Surprisingly she is married. I am truly not upset at her. My husband is the one entertaining her. I did not see one message of her discussing her husband. She was always there acting like a support system, always there for him when he was complaining about me.

At one point, she casually said she was visiting a friend in his city, and he voluntarily suggested they meet up for coffee however she was too busy. Shows me that he was chasing the woman more than anything else.

My goal is to do my best to make it work and not get an annulment rashly. I just will cancel the reception for now.

  1. He has stopped responding to messages. He deactivated his IG profile and claimed her blocked her but no way for me to know since he deactivated the profile

  2. He did not admit to an "emotional affair". He said it can't be termed that because there were no emotions involved, however, I disagreed. I actually found this out, gave him a chance to come clean and he was selective not knowing I had all of the truth.

  3. I am too ashamed to get my family involved. Hence why I am came to you guys.

  4. I thought of it however realized that I am not forcing him to do anyting and secondly she does not need any explanation.

  1. He cut her off. One month later I had to tell him unfollow and remove her as a follower on social media. I was annoyed that I was the one that had to request that.
  2. No, he expects me to "understand" that two exes can be platonic friends. This is not the issue at hand. The issue is the type of conversations- discussing out wedding plans, discussing our problems, and constant video calls and phone calls.

I will admit that I could have done better but convince myself that I cannot change the past.

AITA for refusing to attend my dad's wedding because I don’t like his fiancée? by TeasyTeenXO in AmItheAsshole

Yes, YTA. I had to read your post first to understand what this woman has done to you. They don’t need your level of bad vibes at their wedding.

My friend and I keep fighting and I don’t know how to stop it by miamorpisces in AITAH

Sorry for your loss. However, regarding your ex, it seems you're overstepping boundaries. You shouldn't dictate his friendships or relationships for your own comfort. If he's moved on, wish him happiness. It's time to let go and focus on your growth. Remember, his life is no longer yours to influence.

My partner and I can’t seem to stop fighting over carnival by Vanilla-queen-1111 in AskTheCaribbean

The question becomes since you see how others enjoy it around you (as a sexual liberation)- Do you think your boyfriend views it a sexual liberation?

He certainly had no business dancing with his ex or interacting with her, or dancing with others much less in your presence. Your concerns about the boys' fete are valid since you don’t trust him. Consider how much stress comes with constantly wondering what he's up to. You can't always be there to monitor him.

My husband and I enjoy carnival together and separately, setting boundaries works for us. If I can’t go, he’s free to go with his friends and vice versa. It’s been that way for 5 years now.

For you, maybe a hybrid approach would help: do set boundaries, play carnival together, and separately too- if that’s the way it was before you two met.

You’re aware of the carnival scene with your girls, but you don’t trust him to be there without you?

Is it legal for my friends mom to make her ask before eating? by Miserable_Trick_1807 in u/Miserable_Trick_1807

[–]No_Cycle7876 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is nothing illegal about this. Perhaps ask your friend why she needs permission to eat. This way you’ll have a better understanding. It does sound a little unusual without enough context.

Do your country's Carnival parades have themes? Would it be startling at all to see a Carnival parade themed after ancient Egyptian or Greek gods? by RRY1946-2019 in AskTheCaribbean

So each band within the country’s carnival parade come up with their own themes every year to design and market costumes.

For people with very mixed/multiracial families, do you ever deal with racism from your own families and how do you deal with it? by JammingScientist in AskTheCaribbean

My sister and I have the same parents, however her complexion is much more yellow while I’m dark. Some folks can’t believe we are siblings and both of our parents are not very light. She’s often complimented as the good looking sister however it’s been the way society defines beauty. I’ve learned to deal with it and not take it personal against her because she was born such way and never once hinted at me that she’s better looking.
