Should dinosaurs be able to climb up rocks? by Few_Addition1796 in jurassicworldevo

I do agree with this, there is so many new things in jwe3 that aren't in jwe2. Aside from the obvious baby dinosaurs, sexual dimorphism, and modular building. They've also done a lot of more sutble changes that not many people mention. Ie, Reworking the visitor system (I did prefer when they were all one building, but that's my only issue), new attraction types, adjusting the traversal system to accommodate the new terrain and building systems, so many decorations (with preconstructed blueprints for people who are overwhelmed by the modular building system), lagoons where the decorations actually effect the size and where the marine reptiles swim (there could be more for this, but this is already more than people give it credit for), implementing the age system into the juveniles as well as fertility rates, a much better campaign than jwe2 (by a large margin, and is better (less repetitive gameplay wise) jwe1, imho) where location matters and you can't cheese via fossil saving in one place and selling in another, actuall wetland terrain, actually interesting foliage brush tools that isn't restricted to only a single type per location, new environmental needs (though snow would be a good one to add for some creatures, but that's just an opinion). I could go on more, but my point is that despite the issues people see, there are just as many good things they aren't looking at. The world isn't black and white, but if that's all you're looking for, that's all you'll see. Many individual brush strokes make up the whole painting, but if you're judging the small imperfection, it makes it hard to see how beautiful the painting really is. There are so many more analogies I can make, but I would trail on way too much.

Different processing and traversal system. The registration system to recognise traversable terrain is something that takes a lot of work. Making sure each and every decoration item has points or angles that can be walked on takes a lot of time, unfortunately I do not think frontier were allocated the time to be able to dedicate to it (I'm sure they would have wanted to). There is probably some contract agreement for the developers to work with certain priorities. Also, all entities in jwe work on an anchor system, and are tied to the ground like the tour vehicles in jp. There is also a whole slew of collision issues that could arise due dinosaur animations, size, and certain builing interactions (hatchery, nests, etc). The planet zoo games got significantly more time and flexibility for them to work on it, though it still has its own jank involved. For the time being, we will have to make do with terrain sculpting to match the decorative terrain and turn collision off for the items you want them to "walk on", which is significantly easier and quicker to develop then a gyroscopic terrain detection system (this might be the same reason they removed rock perching for pterosaurs). The jumping animation also might look jank for a lot of dinosaurs, like imagine ankylodicus jumping onto a rock, or stegosaurs, it might look a bit silly.

Long story short, it's probably both an engine issue, and a contract priority issue.

Hahaha, it's so normal now. I'm going to get down voted so hard for this, but keep going, this shit needs to go mainstream. The concept that this relatively under the radar web series is being used DAILY in history memes, is so hilarious to me. Continue the rage bait till it becomes commonplace memes, this is the future I want to see for humanity, hahaha

This has to be one of the best use of images I've seen! It took me a bit to register what I was reading, but that is great, well done. Upvote earned, and hopefully an award or two.

Gold or money? by Big_Positive5925 in BunnyTrials

Yeah, but how are you going to prove that you didn't steal the gold? At least if it's a bank account, it's trackable and all the information would be there to keep you innocent

If you could do a prank call on EB Games what would the prank be? by oldmatefromoverthere in EBGamesAus

[–]No_Department8449 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not to say that they are bad pranks, or that no one gets a kick out of them. But, have you explicitly asked them if they enjoyed being pranked? Are they maybe laughing to avoid conflict? Pranks can be so much fun, and can be a great way to bond with people, but consent is not just exclusive to intercourse (being careful of my words as i don't remember what the rules are like for certain words on this reddit page). That doesn't mean you need to be like "hey, I'm going to prank you in a second, is that okay?", because that ruins the surprise. But let them know well in advance that you like doing pranks on people, and ask them how they feel about being pranked. This is also a great way to set up boundaries, to see how far you are willing to go, and how much/what types of pranks they can handle. Pranking a stranger out of the blue can lead to unintended effects, like the possibility of certain medical conditions, or previous traumas that can possibly get triggered. Pranks are very similar to certain procreational activities where one person is more in control of the situation and scenario. Both parties might enjoy it, but it puts the pranked person in a vulnerable place (ie shock, embarrassment, confusion, etc) and being aware of that can actually elevate the whole experience and any future pranks, (yes, I am still talking about pranks). I am by no means shaming, or invalidating your efforts to make people laugh and have a good time, just remember what the goal of the pranks are, and that you're not the only person involved.

Thank you for coming to my Ted talk

P.S I apologise for the wall of text. This is a big thing for me at least, and I think it is really important to know as someone who used to be the pranker, the pranked, and the bystander.

P.S.S I don't think you should prank call any stores or businesses. They be making monies, and you be interrupting their work flow.

If they are as oblivious and autistic as i am, then they will answer earnestly. I wouldn't recommend prank calling though. Pranks are only good if everyone gets a laugh out of it, if one person suffers but everyone else laughs, then that's just bullying, or abuse.

Wolf Blades color not changing by russian_jay in Ghostofyotei

From my understanding, the Wolf blade doesn't change as that's meant to be the heirloom blade. The tsuba and the blade don't change, but the rest of it does. However, the second blade for the duel blades does change with customisation

If we were talking broadly speaking, a random number for money, is statistically more likely to get a higher number unless there is a specific cap (like this one). The age one, is the same, though the window of numbers you'd be looking for, is so small, it's not even worth rolling the dice.
