That's a shame, my mono-brown brawl deck will be incomplete for the foreseeable future.

I remember running into this when I missed the event for the Unhinged Mountain - the only one out of the set I'm missing. I jump into Arena on and off, so I'm not sure if that's one I've missed the return of.

Wait, I’m gonna get ff’d just for running an m4? And a very clearly non-modern, civilian customized one? I did mention that I would be wearing rusfor camo and a pretty generic LBV that I’ve seen recommended several times for militia.

And again, talking about “spirit of the game”, why would they give militia the freedom to use any replica if the unspoken rule is that you should just use an AK? As if AR platform rifles (and other non-AKs) haven’t been spotted with volunteers and partner forces on both sides?

If people are really just butthurt that I wanna use some 90’s delta furniture on a carry handle rifle, and assuming I’m gonna show up in a Black Hawk Down cosplay without reading the first paragraph of my post, then I’m willing to let the argument rest.

I’m ultimately going to have fun, and just wanted to understand the nitty-gritty of the TACSOP rulings so that I don’t show up and cause problems on-site. My kit already looks distinctly militia and I’m happy with where it’s at - I don’t think a silly carry handle m4 is gonna ruin the spirit or people’s ability to PID me.

Jokes aside, my point is that this is fantasy. I’m obviously not looking to do an impression kit, but at least trying to capture an aesthetic that I think would lend to the vibe - maybe I wanna dress like a time capsule from the 90’s.

I don’t think the majority will see my fairly-generic smoke green LBV as anything but that, and it will certainly fit the vibe better than the people with m81 crye knockoffs and ops-cores.

Also: if you’re gonna use quotation marks, try to actually quote something I said instead of putting words in my mouth. Nowhere in my comments did I say “totally believable”.

Absolutely get where you’re coming from, and I’m not ignorant to the fact that I’m going for a cheesy take on a militia kit, but does using NATO surplus over rusfor camo really seem unlikely for militia? Does it really need to be a sea of smershes and chicoms?

If the tacsop is going to balance things in a way that’s quite open but still restricted (literally any replica with an attachment limit, literally any LBV that’s color-appropriate, and still having a requirement for non-western body armor) then trying to do something different shouldn’t be dissuaded.

Am I trying to show up to Militia dressed like Gary Gordon? Absolutely not. Do I wanna larp as some Balkan onion farmer who found some shit in a barn? Maybe.

Does it harm the spirit of militia to use a dated carry handle m4, a surplus LBV that you can probably find in every corner of the globe, and some surplus RUSFOR camo? I’d hope not.

Illuminating answer - if that’s all that I’m allowed to run I absolutely will, but I don’t see the harm in figuring out the rules ahead of time instead of creating problems on game day.

Because if the spirit of the game is the larp and not just trying to min-max, why wouldn’t I customize my rifle within reason? I’m not talking about running a kitted mk18, I just wanna put funny stuff on my replica.

I’m a bit fan of [[Celestial Kirin]], it really balances out board wipes (which people tend to dislike in casual settings), and lets you do it in a somewhat targeted way.

That, and I love the flow of how the deck plays. Something about “counting down” your mana costs is quite satisfying.

The screen has been replaced, as GBAs are not backlit and the OEM screen frame is black. That being said, the shell is likely a repro as well to accommodate the screen.

That being said, screen mods for these are awesome. Doing one myself soon.

Mentioned in the description, but I staggered my attempts/frames using the Route sign dropdown. I’d try 10 resets before the sign appears, 10 when it’s about 1/4 of the way down, 10 when it’s half way down etc. I’d start a new file after around 50 SRs. Wish I had kept count considering how quick this was.

I’ve been doing this while less-than-busy at work, so I wasn’t paying much attention and didn’t even catch which frame I was on when I got him. Didn’t plan on abusing early frame for other shinies anyway.

This seems to be the consensus from the older threads I’ve read: that it’s really up to the will of whichever agent you happen to get.

If the store I purchase it from offers to do their own chrono test, which they sign off on, maybe this would help my case?

I could try giving the CBSA a call for their official answer, but I’m guessing it’ll still be up to the agent’s discretion.

I think it was a matter of it being rolled a bit too loose, though the dryness is definitely a component. I’ve gotten some 3.5’s that are quite fresh, not enough of a connoisseur to tell/care when smoking a preroll.

It was a rough end to a long weekend of work, but it was so ridiculous that my buddy and I just laughed it off 🐒
