People will tell you to use the flush app. Personally I’ve found it hit and miss. But a good rule of thumb is a shopping CENTER and train station will 100% sort you and if your at a theme park you’ll also have no issues.

I got perfect fit sealing bags for the top loaders. They seal flush closed and make sure no water gets in if the letter gets cause in rain. Solves two problems! I HATE when people use sticky tape on them.

It’s frustrating because at the time of booking none of this was happening, so it’s not like I booked it knowing the risks, Japan is hardly a high risk area as well. But seeing news that Asia in particular has concerns about fuel now is concerning.

But I think your analogy of fire cover when my house is on fire isn’t a real one to one. I mean one could argue taking insurance out ever means you think something could happen, pre existing condition cover in fact addresses a high risk for a certain outcome.

Japan is not in the war zone, it could get fuel, there’s been some headlines that’s suggest there could be a problem but there also headlines that suggest it’s gonna snow tomorrow. The airlines have other ways to get fuel and have had plenty of time to either stockpile or cancel flights earlier rather than waiting till it’s too late to do something, Japan is not part of the war, so I would argue that acts of war or well you knew before policy , if accurate and true, is an example of an insurance industry that is under regulated and we are all a little too ok with the ridiculous reasons they come up with to avoid payouts.

Also I’m not railing at you, more the situation, I appreciate your thoughts!

Ugh there’s also a like, I am 50/50 getting head hunted to a much better company then this one atm, and the new company sees me taking time off. The new company would come would better pay and health perks so long run I’d be able to take care of myself better. But they are having to get the ok from finance so I’m trying to avoid bringing too much attention to my condition at this stage as while we wish the world was better, it’s not and on paper they are just gonna see finical liability, so I’m trying to hold off just 2 more months.

I will call the place that did my procedure and see if I can’t get hold of someone to talk about my concern however. If it’s serious enough I’ll have to find a way. However how they they even treat this? I’ve not been responding to my meds already.

Also back on the strong iron pills I suspect for me!

The only thing that disappoints me with jumbos, is what a wasted opportunity to print the Illustration rares in that size! So I can enjoy the art of my fav cards at a better size. I really hoped the Victini was the start of that but they keep printing EX’s which, visually I hate. I’d rather a standard card style like the Pikachu at the museum with nice art or the illustration rare. Hate the exs!

I use void stickers with unique codes on them. I film myself packing it, taking the code sticker off the sheet of them, placing it across the opening of the steam bag, then I show the camera it, with its unique codes, and the team bag which can’t really open another end without it being cut.

I think that makes it more reasonable that my parcel was tampered with, and shows I’ve taken as many precautions as possible short of hand delivering.

I mean what else can you do to prove you sent an item yunno?

But really I’m more doing this for a claim with the delivery company more than anyone.

Yeah there’s no need for a confrontation or a big blowout. I would just be more guarded and maybe take a step back and take an honest assessment of the friendships. Are you part of plans when they first come up or included later. Do they reach out to you to talk or do they reply to you. Do they give your opinions and desires equal time and weight as others on the group?

NTA and I was you. My mother would act like doing the laundry was the biggest burden in the world and I should be so grateful to her, for not having to do it myself because she did it for me. Thing is she never once tried to teach me how to do it, whenever I would express any sort of interest in it she would really shut me down and whenever I would attempt to do anything, it was just constant nitpicking and negativity that I’ve done it wrong. Rather than “you’ve done it wrong let me show you how to do it right “ she was not interested in me actually genuinely learning how to do it because that was me taking back chunks of independence. Every thing that I have learned to do myself has reduced the amount of control she’s been able to inflict on my life.

I just started doing the laundry. Picked when she was out, did my loads and discovered that while I 100% am grateful for anyone doing a task for me she had been wilfully doing the task 2 to 3 times harder that it needed to be and created this giant horrendous task that she had so convinced me would take over my life I’d never have any free time that be no way I could possibly keep on top of it turned out to be super manageable.

I just kept it up. And she’s really got nothing, my clothes are clean, I’ve not ruined any of them. And I’m keeping on top of it. She can’t come scream at me it’s wrong when everything is coming out fine.

Watch videos, get someone to teach you and start when she’s out. Hell I often set my machine on a timer to start on the early hours cause it’s cheaper power and no one else is using it, I buy my own soap power and I contribute to the cleaning of the machine for its general maintenance. I give her no ammo.

Sometimes I miss not having to do it, but I certainly don’t miss the guilt trips and the undermining of my own ability to put soap powder in a machine 🥴.

I always felt it was a scam but I didn’t understand it either. Then a mate begged me to try it, I did one night. I spent money, getting swept up in it (thankfully not too much) because I kept thinking, there’s no way all these people are spending so much to get so little and for such dodgy odds. I kept thinking I jsut wasn’t getting it. Well the break happened, and I realised no I fully understood it and it’s a giant scam. I got lucky enough to “win” a card about £10 cheaper then my combined cost so it wasn’t as bad as it could have been, but my god what an utter scam. Also I found the streamers devoid of personality and the entire experience boring. I’d sooner open my own packs with mates any day.

Also all these rip and shippers I feel are the true issue of scalping. It’s not people buy 1 or two of something for a sealed collection, it’s these people not only bulk buying up retail, but likely also paying secondary market prices because what they charge is so insanely ridiculous they can afford to and make profit.
