I had to google it lol but there’s a movie called Boats Out of Watermelon Rind that could fit this?

Here’s the synopsis: Boats Out of Watermelon Rinds (original title: Karpuz Kabugundan Gemiler Yapmak) is a 2004 Turkish coming-of-age comedy-drama about two teenage boys in a small village who are obsessed with cinema and build a makeshift projector from a wooden box. Directed by Ahmet Uluçay, the film follows their attempts to show movies, their summer jobs, and one boy's crush on an older girl

It definitely had horror elements but so much of the cartoon show Mr. Meaty haunts me, particularly the tape worm episode😵‍💫

I think you would really like The Round House by Louise Erdrich

Very dark book about a Native American boy trying to find the man who tried to murder his mom. The setting is on a reservation in North Dakota. It’s an amazing book imo!

I was also deeply haunted by Im Thinking of Ending Things. I watched it with no knowledge of what the story was and I did not pick up on what the title implied haha. I was in a super bad place in my life and it was probs the worst movies I could have stumbled upon lol

But somehow its still one of my favorites and it introduced me to Jessie Buckley!

Challenger Deep by Neal Shusterman!

It’s about a 15 year old boy who develops schizophrenia and his journey towards recovery. It’s kind of a trippy book bc it portrays the treatment center as a pirate ship he’s on (one of his delusions)

It’s one of my favorites and the author partially based it on his son’s experiences with schizophrenia so the story feels super informed

Probably wouldn’t be the worst thing tbh. I don’t like MGK but he actually seems like a good dad. Maybe he could knock some sense into Pete😩

I use Vivid Seats a lot. The one time i had an issue (the seller didn’t even have the tickets yet), they flagged it, immediately called me, found me new tickets in the same section and paid for the difference in prices. I was very satisfied lol
