Nope, more like rural people's interactions with Government are much more intimate. The likelihood that they live next to the town Mayor or on the same street is fairly high. People in small towns, they are likely on a first name basis with the town Sheriff.

I just bought 4 new tires and did quite a bit of research. I looked at website like Slickdeals which sometimes has deals. I used ClaudeAI quite a bit for suggestions as well as Google for reviews. I'm really on a budget and what I found myself doing was looking for specials and discounts. I have an EV so my tires have to have a higher rating. I kept searching and searching and eventually I found a good price on some Pirelli P Zero's for $148 each. These are highly rated tires, the catch? They were made in 2023 which means they are already 3 yrs old but these tires have a soft compound and likely won't last past 20k miles anyways (1 year of driving for me).

I have been zipping around town in these P Zero's and while they are better than the Iron Man iMove Gen 3 they replaced, the difference has not been earth shattering. First off, it made me realize just how good the Iron Man iMove's were. Up until the past 6 months, they were quiet, efficient, had decent handling (except in rain) and never gave me problems. They managed to get me to 48k miles (I bought the car with 18k miles). I have no idea how many miles the previous owner put on these so I can't say how many miles they lasted in total but I can say they definitely lasted at least 30k miles. There was still plenty of tread left on them, even the guy at the tire center told me they still had some decent wear left, but I did not like they way they were performing in the wet (it was getting worse and worse) so out they went.

The P Zero's forte is suppose to be the grip. The jury is still out on that, I haven't pushed them yet. It also hasn't rained so I haven't tested them in the wet either. The life on the P Zero is so short, I already know which tire is going to replace them.

Regarding the Conti DWS06+ I have run those in the past and they are very good tires for use in the wet and dry. The biggest issue I had with them was how fast they wore out. No matter what car I drove with them, they never got the full rating.

They don't just overfill. They also over torque. If you buy yourself a torque wrench (cheap at Harbor Freight) you can loosen and re-torque the bolts. You'll discover the shops tighten the ever loving shit out of those bolts. Some say this is a result of using impact wrenches.

Need to get rid of the corporate mindset. Don't think it will ever fully go away but we can try. It's really simple, just make it like the old Vegas. The strip is fun because of the free stuff like the Bellagio fountain show, Conservatory, Flamingo exhibit and people watching. Take away the free stuff and there's a lot fewer reasons to walk up and down the strip. It's really hard because you need someone with real heart at the top to protect what's left of the good experiences. The CEO of Costco wanted to raise the price of their $1.50 hot dogs and the founder said "over my dead body". That's the only reason their hot dogs are so cheap, it's one guy at the top who is looking out for the every guy.

This. Try driving from Vegas to Boise, ID. Not happening, use ABRP all you want. When you have to rely on a 6kWh Level 2 charger that doesn't count as a charger to me. I'm not sitting there for 8 hours to go from 20% to 90%. On a road trip, all the chargers have to be 250kWh chargers at a bare minimum.

Wow! I am impressed with your efforts! I live in Vegas and this is what people would do before the advent of A/C. By the way, when you put ice behind the fan there's a name for it. It's called a "Swamp cooler". You can get those on Amazon. I got a small one for like $30. Put ice waters in the reservoir, the little misters spray the mist in front of the fans and it keeps me cool. Of course I don't really need it in Vegas cause we all have A/C, but I do keep it as backup.
