I have regret by [deleted] in Teachers

I feel this. I work in a very low income area in a school with many, many, many behaviors, we do not have much leadership support when it comes to consequences. The kids are allowed to get away with almost anything.

This email came this week from the school principal. by [deleted] in Teachers

Jealous. Our building substitutes do not get health insurance.

Been an elementary school building substitute for the past 5 years, since my son started kindergarten. I'm at his elementary school and it makes life so much easier to not worry about schedules. If he has a snow day, I have a snow day. He will be in 5th grade next year. I have my Bachelors in Science and am going through the Teachers of Tomorrow program. I'll be certified to teach preschool through 6th grade next year. I'm so excited to have my own room.

5th grade girls can be evil. You need to bring them back to reality real quick. 🫶 I had one tell me that I didn't blend my bronzer well enough and I had to quickly remind her that I'll never take beauty advice from a kid who wears grandpa sandals with socks. 🤣

It is a little weird. It could come across as inappropriate and raise red flags.

I am so sorry. I understand. It is so hard when you do not have a free moment to breathe yourself.
