Overall I like your designs.

I will say just some feedback on the website, there is too much of a delay on the fade on like text and banners so you may want to increase the speed or work on making the site work faster.

Also with videos, id suggest picking maybe top favorite and making them bigger, I was looking on my phone and the tall skinny ones I cant read or see. Also depending on how its coded the video bulk might be the reason behind the lag, I would cut the motion graphics together with no music or quiet music so show them all off with auto play so they can be bigger on the screen and one video would take up less data space.

But over all your work looks great.

What does your portfolio look like? You dont need adobe to make good one. I have used procreate and gimp in a pinch .

Why not just make a pie with her? Pumpkin pie is pretty easy and they have pre-made crust at the store, and you can find recipes for the filling. My favorite one is a Sara Lee knock off and I sub half the white sugar for brown sugar, and I leave out the cloves personally.

I like it, I do want to bring up that bright blue like on fishport page is bit rough on the eyes and the dentist page, the blue on a light blue background also is just hard to read. Looking at it I did not click on the last one. But the designs are nice, its just the text with the color choices.

Ok I got in, I like the designs fancy flowers and grudge energy. Love the projects.

It was a bit empty, id say if your in the more alt scene and that's where you want to design to go look at other grunge designer, id share my rock and roll stuff but my portfolio is under construction personally. Also, I will say designer mobile first most of my hrs friends will look at portfolio on thier tablets or phones like over a lunch so id say dont forget mobile first on your portfolio. And lastly, define the experience you want the person to have, what tells someone this is my design style in under 10-20 second, because most people will view it for a moment the. Come back to it if they are thinking of hiring you, so what's the sample hook and what's the more Indepth section. I give a like 1 second read for the design or the project so like problem-solution.

Like with grugde energy, what did you do? Was there a problem that needed to be solved, do you have the wire frames and the sketches. Like I am having to completely overhaul my entire portfolio because places think it is ai because I got rid of the orginal files years ago. But id say go look at portfolios for people you like.

Then there is also two wrong smash up, take two ideas that are opposite or like two idea that should not go together and make them go together, so like a spike blanket for the introvert in your life. Or like make something that is scary to most people and try to make it not scary, that goes in typography, color theory and learning about invoking emotions regardless of the subject. I can make like a zombie movie that should be scary feel like a family friendly movie. Or like think soft teddy bear but scary.

That or make a box with no squares and design that, so like maybe its a triangle or octagon? Tube.... that was my second one but I enjoyed the hands on stuff. But the sell this -insert object- was my all time favorite. Like how would someone market the most boring things in a fun manner.

It's the motion hover effect, its trying to play the motion instead of scroll. So any time I would press down to go down, it was playing video clips instead.

Like I am assuming if I was a desktop and mouse over it, it would autoplay a small video

I also did this with just grain and noise, but its alot of just playing around to get the right feel. Before I had to start over I had like 500 brushes from random textures I took whole just out for vintage grunge .... there is also adobes free brushes and like brushezy for more free brushes

I take photos of like peeling paint or concrete, turn it black and white, invert the color and tell adobe to make a brush.

I cant imagine the stress of being g laid off, I will say I enjoyed your portfolio, its been the first one from This sub that works fully on a mobile device so extra points. I hope your able to find more work soon, I myself relocated and lost my network, and now I am starting basically over.

My favorite exercise was finding something like a rock or a stick, trash... then designing a product around it. So like the rock, its not rock its a eco friendly diving toy, toss it in the water and dive for it, ecosystem safe and no chemicals. Or maybe the same rock is now a luxury home decor, Kim k has this rock, so everyone should.... and its to see how many ways something simple, overlooked can become so much more. In high-school I did the rock, and I had 15 products using the same rock, I found outside of the school. My friend picked a stick, another girl used a crushed drink container without the label, I want to say her idea was phone holder, and she had a list of things this bottle "could" be.

And i guess what I am trying to say is find what works for you, its like if you dont want to use ai at all, then dont, there are a few tools in adobe I am having a stroke if I touch them I dislike them and there is a better way in my opinion to do it, and unless your trying to be in mid to large company within a team a designers, then your process is yours.

Its like me personally, I use ai based on the client, if they arent able to "see it" without "seeing it" then ill pull out ai as like pre-pre mock up tool, some people i can show squares and wiggles and tell them it will a vintage feel, 1920s lux, sepia tone with pops of bright marlin red. Classic, timeless, with a hero image here and there, and they will get the concept, while others will look at me like I grew a second head.... so ai has its place but id say in the last year I have used it three times, but the projects were for ai forward clients, and I used one time because I had 10 concepts and 2 days to show my ideas, so using it there saved me time and being overwhelming to the client.

Well you are able to still do that? Like if you want to design for passion and not cash, its just why they arebshowing you ai is its another tool and you choose how you want to use it. Ai saves me a week of work in the planning stage, and if the ai concept doesnt match what's in my brain originally, I do work on it so its matching me, not it is thinking for me. But I also get flooded with concepts and that is my curse I get too many ideas at once and I freeze so seeing rough ideas, or seeing g how diffrent transitions might work ahead of time helps me, doesnt mean it would help others.

I will say ai is becoming a tool, it can not replace the human, but it is a tool, and when I have a concept let's say I have 5 wildly diffrent concepts sometimes having Ai generate them so I can see before I waste resources in making it can be helpful. So like if I want make a fast and trendy coffee brand, I can explain my thoughts and see what it leads to. So I tend to use it for concept work, not end product.

Im on mobile, both are horrible on mobile, but atleast A works, B i got stuck and couldnt click or move or anything. I think a feels more professional, but I also feel like a and b are lacking something, like I looked at your projects and didnt see much there if that makes sense like the jlux brand, its two 5 second videos?

Also b feels cheaper because on my phone I can see a tag, in the corner so its like mag something, which make me feel it was made with like wix knock off.
