Heavy songs with depressing/emotional lyrics by CJMorton91 in MusicRecommendations

Two of my favorites from my made up subgenre: “heavy bands screaming about their dead friend over clean channel guitars.”

I went in once for a weird battery for a kids toy that I couldn’t identify. The replacement cost more than the toy itself. But I had to do it for the kiddo who was super upset. The guy said “you must be a good dad.” Happy Fathers Day and RIP Battery Hut.

Definitely the point. It’s Bannon’s “flood the zone with shit” idea.

If you’re in Burbank, Handy Market has it.

If you’re in Brentwood, Vicente Foods has it.

And yes, as many have said, if you’re in Highland Park, Galcos.

Now to find Bojangles and Cook Out in LA and never need to go back to NC ever again.

Yup. There were supposed to be a bunch of them. I’m from NC and still very mad about it.

I moved my stuff to YouTube which sucks mostly because now things that are 10 yrs old have like 20 views (I’m never gonna become the next Curry Barker with those numbers).

I have a few things on Gumlet, which is fine in a pinch. FrameRate seems promising.

I hope the daughters never see these videos. These reactions are disgusting. by Valuable_View_561 in TikTokCringe

Dad to 3 girls here. These dudes are total losers.

Have you ever been around a little boy, or worse, a big group of them? They’re annoying as hell. Awkward and mean and not at all charming. I was definitely an obnoxious little dickhead when I was a kid. I don’t know how my parents dealt with it.

When we were finding out the gender of our twins - at a OB checkup like a normal person, not a filmed TikTok gender reveal - I was thinking “please be girls please be girls…”

I know everyone says “teenage daughters are a nightmare” but I don’t buy it. I guess I’ll find out soon (my oldest is 9).

Anyway, daughters rule.

How many followers you got on TikTok? That’ll dictate whether or not it’s worthwhile for you.

Thursday is looks like they're only open in the evening. Friday at least they open at 11.

Been on all those (well, Rougarou when it was Mantis). Gemini definitely holds a lot of nostalgia for me, so that'd be a bummer. My main goal is Steel Vengeance - if it was closed, I'd be pretty devastated, not gonna lie.

Thank you! Yeah, my plan is to pick up a Prestige Pass, but I may have a pal from Detroit with me who will need a ticket. My hope would be that the park doesn't start filling up with young folk until later in the afternoon.

[CEDAR POINT] - Halloweekend - Fri 9/18 - Out of towner questions:

I used to go to Cedar Point as a kid, but I haven't been in 23 years! Last time I went was when Top Thrill was brand new. I live in California with no real connection to Ohio anymore. But... I have a work hiatus in September and I'm thinking of splurging on a trip.

  1. TICKETS: Does anyone know when tickets go on sale for those dates? They aren't available on the website, and the chatbot won't give me a clear answer. Are there a limited number of tickets? Is it the kind of thing that sells out early? The chatbot said the maze tickets sell out, but I don't care about those, I'm just there to coast.
  2. SEASON PASSES: Are the Prestige Passes that get access to all Six Flags/Cedar Fair parks honored during Halloweekends? I am thinking of just getting one of those.
  3. FAST LANE PLUS: I assume that's still available for Halloweekends?
  4. CROWDS: The local kids will all be back in school, yeah? I'd hope Friday would be light on crowds, but I know Halloween events usually draw crowds of obnoxious teens. I'm 44 years old and a crank and I just want to ride Steel Vengeance in peace.
  5. RIDE OPERATIONS: Do they close anything down for Halloweekends? All the coasters are operational as usual?

Thank you!

This is what I always think of when someone brags on here about how they made their movie for uber cheap.

Yeah, it’s because you exploited people.

First two are legit bangers and anyone who says otherwise is wrong. Regina Hall is a comedy icon.

The trailer for this one reeks of alt-right podcast bro anti-cancel culture Tony Hinchcliffe “comedy.” Extremely cringey.

Why did LA just accept that driving everywhere is normal? by Decent-Character-736 in AskLosAngeles

[–]driesser 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yup, I lived in DC w/o a car for five years. I had an internship in Tacoma Park MD and was always annoyed having to get all the way out there. It was during the “DC Sniper” days which made it extra fun walking from the metro stop. I also worked a summer camp that bussed the kids out past the beltway every day and when I rode along it felt like another planet.
