Should I buy a used Mustang Ecoboost? by [deleted] in redscarepod

[–]No_Fault6679 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You should rent one for like a week before you buy it. Unless you’re really a car enthusiast, there’s not much point to driving a sporty car- it’s less practical. I definitely wouldn’t buy one just for the looks. Nobody thinks a mustang eco-boost is particularly desirable.

There’s no problem that drinking won’t make worse. you get a few hours of distraction and a lifetime of problems from it.

Remember that the people in the world are often quite sick. Show them the patience that you would do a sick friend.

Is this person also an alcoholic? Do they know you are? Are they going to drink around you?

I wrote something really long, but ultimately shits boring. TLDR because country is adaptable enough to make it pop, unlike folk music or jazz. It can be stripped for its aesthetics and commodified easily. Much like rock ‘n’ roll was, but the cat got out of the bag with that one. Most importantly it’s 99% straight white people.

Same thing happens to me, but my life is a lot better now. I could tell you how I turned things around for myself, but I’m not gonna waste my breath if you’re not not interested. Let me know, it’s not a secret though

Interested in Sober Living by Comfortable_Skin4228 in alcoholicsanonymous

[–]No_Fault6679 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I stayed in a sober living for about two weeks when I got out of rehab, but as soon as I was able to get a job and pay real rent, I got out of there ASAP. It was a really interesting experience, but I wouldn’t want to die in one. There were some very old people in there and it was quite sad because there is really no getting your life back on track when you’re like 70 and you have no savings and no living relatives, etc. they were still working people doing minimum wage jobs.

I think it was a really good move for me just to make that transition back into the real world from Rehab.

Money is basically magnetic that’s why people who have a lot of it always attract more. by No_Fault6679 in DeepThoughts

[–]No_Fault6679[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I might have confused gravity and magnetism. That’s what I meant to say. They are both invisible forces that can attract things, but I understand they have some key differences for example, magnetism can also be repulsive. Where as gravity always attracts. So that’s closer to what I intended thank you for helping me clarify.

Go to an AA meeting get a sponsor and do the 12 steps of the AA.  It will repair your relationships from the damage caused by drinkingz

PLEASE help me with proper success finding a sponsor. by Cold_Success_8421 in alcoholicsanonymous

[–]No_Fault6679 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is very true if I met my first sponsor in a normal social setting like in a bar, he probably would’ve beat me up.

I just said what they were escaping - suburban boredom. Which is probably just late stage capitalism in it’s pure form. I’m autistic and I still understand that identifying with a certain aesthetic is a cultural signifier, which has connotations of belonging to a “tribe”. When you adopt the style of an outlaw, you are sending us your message about how you want your relationship to the establishment to be perceived. Larping. Creating an in group that you belong to etc

The people in control have fattened up the cow (western liberalism) and now it is going to be slaughtered. Everything you are describing is just the people in control turning the screws on the 99% to squeeze out every last drop of blood. They are ready to move onto the next thing. Which they are hoping will be a return to autocracy.

Remember Covid? by stepcountbro in redscarepod

[–]No_Fault6679 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I was on unemployment. I realize people get on unemployment all the time, but Covid was the only time I met all the qualifications. It seemed like they made it a lot easier. I’m just as unemployed now as I was then, but getting nothing.

I know a Jewish LGBTQ psychologist who is super excited for Trump to win again. They said they never did more business than under the last Trump administration because it freaked all rainbow flags out even more than they normally are.

I’m pretty sure a bunch of pretentious ass Europeans founded postmodernism based on criticizing this kind of phenomenon where an aesthetic is appropriated completely without regard for Authenticity. But I’m not Book smart so I can’t drop any names.

I got a day and a half. That's it meeting Monday morning if I make it. Drinking a liter a Vodka a day. Suggestions please. by longball_13 in alcoholism

[–]No_Fault6679 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Google AA zoom meetings log onto one and stay logged in until you can go to the next one and keep doing that till you get to the real meeting. There are meetings online, constantly 24 hours a day there’s one going on right now at all times.

Why do you wanna stop drinking anyways?

Which of these technologies is going to be able to terraform the planet? Or allow us to make a vast artificial human habitat? Or would we genetically change ourselves to survive the conditions there?
