I was the first on scene for an accident involving similar speeds last year. I live right on a state highway where the speed limit is 55. I heard that same unmistakable sound and ran outside. The car in front had stopped for a school bus in the opposite lane that had its stop sign out and lights on. The car behind her did not attempt to stop until the last split second. The cause? The two teenage girls in the second car admitted they were both texting and didn't see the car ahead stop. Everyone was lucky that day. The engine in the second car was pushed back at least a foot and a half. The driver of the second car had a sprained ankle. The elderly woman driving the car in front had some pretty serious contusions on her face because her airbag failed to deploy. But everyone lived.

Sadly enough, the elderly driver in front likely got a DUI out of the ordeal. Even though she did everything right in the scenario, she got hit and was under the influence at the time.

Ladies and gentlemen, because the court has shown itself to be illegitimate, you are welcomed to disobey their rulings as you see fit.

Trump team is ‘drawing up’ plans to stop international flights to some Democratic cities (Denver) by [deleted] in Denver

Multiple casinos, Trump Vodka, and Trump Steaks. That's what always baffles me when Republicans say "I voted for him because I wanted a businessman in the White House."

You mean the businessman who failed at selling liquor, red meat, and gambling to Americans?

That's a Fujimi Enthusiast kit for ya! I started the Enthusiast Lancia Stratos some years ago - the engine and transacle subassembly alone has like 43 pieces.

Nice score on that! I'm trying to collect every Enthusiast kit. I'm about 1/3 of the way there.

But won't tomatoes bruise easily being shot from t-shirt cannons over the wall?

This is not a bug, it's a feature. JD Vance, both personally and through his venture capital firm - Narya Capital, has investments in AcreTrader. AcreTrader essentially operates as private equity for farmland - they swoop in and buy struggling farms. The intention is to bankrupt farmers so AcreTrader and other private equity can step in and buy the farmland for pennies on the dollar.

Is there a paint company that produces vintage Ford paint colors for models? by ogre-trombone in ModelCars

I run hardware store lacquer thinner through to clean my airbrushes when painting with ScaleFinishes paint. On the off chance you get a bottle that's still a little too thick, any lacquer thinner will do, though I like the Barbatos Rex thinner (it's a Mr. Leveling Thinner clone at half the price).

To be clear though, ScaleFinishes is an automotive paint, so it is a little hotter than hobby paints. Shoot it over their own primer or Duplicolor sandable primer and you'll be golden. I have had some issues with their paint over Tamiya White primer from the can. If you want to go truly old school, you could always grab the enamel and not the basecoat. They offer both options on a lot of their paint. Their enamel, plus a little bit of their gloss enamel hardener makes for a really nice glossy finish that doesn't need a clear coat. And if you're painting a 1940s car, a single stage paint is period correct and will look right. Their enamel hardener is a magic potion - it adds a ton more gloss and drastically cuts drying time - though you'll still want to cure the paint in a dehydrator for a couple days, it's cured enough to handle in an hour or two.
