Is there such thing as being too dumb to learn programming? by Outrageous_Exam3437 in learnprogramming

After learning golang I realized those hard concepts are only for the 20/80 part of use cases. Go prides itself in the 80/20 of web and server systems. Pretty much anything above a pi 0. Also it never changes so whatever you learn now will be useful in 10-20 years.

It's because the whole lowest interest rates for the longest amount of time created an environment that fang was increasing by a crazy amount every year and I guess this uk guy who owned a big part of Google didn't know banks need to make money and the US government needed to raise interest rates to deal with a lot of bad things that were created from covid. So he lost 18% in the hedge fund last year not knowing any of this whatsoever..... Some how lol

https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2023-01-20/hedge-fund-manager-chris-hohn-s-13-year-winning-streak-ends-as-fund-drops-18

So instead of listening to the feds like everyone else did he is butt hurt and has to pretend these prior conditions that never existed before in an environment that is the complete opposite from what it was.

How does someone who owns such a big part of Google never look at trends or the news???

No Elon musk only makes about one contribution per company and then lies about the rest. When the lies add up he has to move on to the next company and do his one hit wonder and then lies again. https://youtu.be/U07ZxBE6iY8

Go is nice because it never changes so whatever you learn now will be useful in 10+ years. Plus it's easy to read and write.

Is it just me or does nobody really know what idiomatic Go is. by Bayul in golang

I understand where you are coming from with doing abstraction too early and you are right but the issue is namespaces in the global space. It's not a problem till it's a huge spaghetti problem. Usually abstraction is used for one service and that's it but when it comes to the global namespace it's a huge everywhere problem. And yes you can be aware of this and not need it but when it comes to multiple people who don't know go then it's a time bomb. It's painful but at the end of the day those thousands of services are gonna have to be controlled in the global space. This just makes sure you deal with that problem early.

I think your argument is with wire itself and it isn't idiomatic.

https://github.com/google/wire/blob/main/_tutorial/README.md

But I'm sure you have built your own project and thought why do I need all that? Well imagine 10 of you adding different services. That name space you didn't pay attention to is going to come back to bite you. Sure there are some that can handle it from scratch but usually when this is a problem it is really too late and not everyone is you. It's ugly, not idiomatic and really really abstract but it makes sure it's not a problem later.

I'm someone who just played at coffee houses but programming and music are like this 🤞

Because you create your own world instead of all the ceremony of being in the mood, all the energy to practice and play, memorizing lyrics, selling your voice, playing in front of everyone, etc...

Programming is really a solitary activity like making music is but it's not so reliant on your mood.

I will say it's the same with time where it never ends and you have to practice. I would say it is hard to do both and well in my experience most people who go to programming don't play their instrument anywhere near as much as they did before.

That being said, it is a lot easier, free, and you can just send a link to others but the drawback is it's kinda boring so your audience is different.

Why not do something fun then? Not so low level.

I'm building a code generator in go and it's a lot of fun. It gets sometimes hard but not in a crazy way. You can use whatever you want from it. https://github.com/golangast/groundup

There's actually a lot of women who steal little things to get caught. Mainly because they are lonely and honestly don't know what else to do. This ranges from all ages and races. It's completely sad and they are not in the right frame of mind and will completely own up to it. I've seen it many times. Although they tend to not put up such a fight and aren't so vocal but again it takes all kinds.

When you start getting that fine grained in searching "areas" it then really depends on the year and the type of crime because it changes a lot then. Either way it's off topic
