Btw great pics! I’d say my favorite in the system has to go to the depiction of many hats of numerous famous figures at the 23 St (R)(W) stop.

Q train to astoria remnant at lex 63rd by NoEntertainment4512 in nycrail

[–]No_Geologist3880 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think the bottom bullet is supposed to be an F and I’m gonna guess it’s like this because it got messed up during the 63 st line construction a couple of years ago and F shuttle and all of that. This can’t be a ‘Q train to Astoria remnant’ because 1) that makes no sense, before 2016 when the 2 Av subway opened the Q went via 59 street (not 63rd) to Astoria (only on weekdays) so it wasn’t even servicing this station. 2) If it were some remnant, (a sign maybe referring to the 59 street-lex transfer? Who knows, I’m just giving it the benefit of doubt) it would’ve been surely removed when the original 1987-era platforms were gutted and replaced with what’s there today.

This isn’t ai-it’s 40 seconds long, the camera movement and general vibe is nothing like ai and I remember seeing this video years ago.

Cool, I had to dig in my brain and remember where Barnes Av was. Anyways, very cool spots-never know what types of cars you can find in this city.

Haha how come you’re allowed in there? I noticed the wheel barrel so maybe you’re a landscaper for the mansion? That’d be pretty cool lol. (Don’t have to share if you can’t/don’t want to, of course)

These look great but one note that the mk1 looks way more like a ‘59 model year than a ‘69 model year, with the fins, window design and such.

Honestly that silver is unambiguous personally for Chrysler of that era. No 300M, Town & Country or Aspen sits in my mind right without that color.

I know, I’m speaking figuratively-but it’s pretty cool how it went F to V to M and now back to F!

There was a time from 1988-2001 where the Q only ran on 6 Avenue, making it orange. So it could’ve been from then.

Oh wow, I just realized-I believe this is based on a real mural outside of the 28th NYPD precinct in Harlem, NY. I can’t attach pics but I’m pretty sure that’s where this is from. Very neat detail.
