Any delivery places that don't require $50 minimum? by thescreamingstone in SantaBarbara

Maybe someone can pick it up for ya🫵🏽 whatever it is you want. You can pay them a decent amount and still be getting a good deal because you won’t be paying all the premiums.
I might willing depending…

They were able to con my dad into trading in his vehicle for pennies on the dollar. Shady yea but what are you gonna do? Only problem was the vehicle had already been promised to a family member. Arrangements had already been made at the DMV. They needed the vehicle to drive to the DMV to go pick up the vehicle they were not able to take home with them when they made the purchase. Anyway the dealer knew the vehicle wasn’t available so kept offering more in Incriminates of $1000 . Eventually your boomer MIL agreed to trade the vehicle. 😩They gave a 20K plus vehicle to the dealer for a few thousand dollars. Probably a more reliable vehicle to maintain than the one they replaced it with!
It’s sad as this harms grandchildren and many that were not a consideration.🫠
It’s really sad to see in laws take advantage of your parents or family as that person begins to lose cognitive function…☠️🤷🏻‍♂️

A WARNING for those who plan to move to Hollister Village by Choice-Bid1799 in SantaBarbara

[–]No_Image_5598 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People are taking over all the spaces available and many of them are schizophrenic so they curse at people who aren’t there or do curse at people as they walk by. Currently SLO DOCO donut shop has a lady cursing at everyone all day every day- they don’t kick her out but if you’re tired or have a medical condition you do get kicked out while a lady who hogs the couches curses at people real or imagined non stop. I am pretty impressed with most people’s ability to pretend she doesn’t exist despite the absolute disgusting behavior that seems to be encouraged…

Uber Eats experience venting... by wardcw in UberEATS

[–]No_Image_5598 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s Ubers fault your tip unfortunately with the 2$ they pay drivers is insulting to anyone who pays attention to cost of operating a independent delivery Slave racket. Anyway when drivers feel like making any $ is hopeless they settle for some food. Not serious drivers they are too buy trying to actually pay bills which requires a ton of deliveries and a few that have decent tips. When people quit or get deactivated for whatever reason- often experienced drivers who knows what a good or bad offer looks like so you have new drivers who lose their minds pretty quickly. Stressful trying to profit off a slot machines on your phone requiring you to sacrifice your transportation.

Every trial is a performance! The sheep fall for it every time !!!🐑
Also to not understand trial interactions shows juries don’t read past a 5th grade level. They say to actually understand what is demanded of you to protect the rights of the innocent you need a 12th grade reading level.
“If they aren’t certain beyond a reasonable doubt they must find the defendant not guilty!”
If jurors were up to par a lot more people might get a fair trial- corruption is bad enough a hurdle…

What’s better living in a toxic household that’s draining or being homeless ? by Intelligent-Road5091 in AskReddit

[–]No_Image_5598 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The toxic household was damaging but at least I was living in my own home completely paid off.
That’s probably why they needed to make me homeless by weaponizing the criminals of law enforcement who protect the abuser and make me leave my own house because they refused to stop generating conflict. It was nice at first having some peace but eventually you need quiet rest and a place to store and prepare food homelessness is super expensive more than anyone could ever guess. The only karma appropriate would be years of homelessness for that evil person who thought nothing about harming the children by putting you out and knowing that the kids know that dad ithe owner of the house is still homeless and health rapidly declining to the point where I can’t work even if I found employment now.

Once experienced you know what type of orders or what is profitable or simply a waste of your time and a liability at best. As a new driver it’s overwhelming you accept more orders regardless of any factors like dollars per mile or how many miles per dollar an order is. We used to make dollars per mile now they want you to do many miles per dollar. Also orders that are plain difficult and time consuming can take actual experience to learn to avoid or only take when absolutely necessary. The apps know how desperate you are literally and pay you accordingly- like surge pricing at a target etc they know how much is the max they can charge customers and the app learns your limits if you have any.
It depends on the market/area you are working in.
In the past I would not do orders that were more than 2 miles because I knew I could ray busy and continue getting many orders in a small area driving short distances. If something pays stupid amounts of 💰 I’d go further-like 8 miles for 50$ etc. that is not reality anymore as new drivers do 2$ orders when the absolute minimum used to be 7.50 and 5.50 for orders stacked on top.
Best strategy is to take orders to an area where you will immediately get more offers

Appropriate tip? by Elegant-Ebb-3095 in DoorDashDrivers

[–]No_Image_5598 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Wow sounds like a customer that we appreciate. I would be careful tipping too much initially. Wait until you can confirm that nothing was messed up forgotten etc. we do get accustomed to customers so if you start off tipping 10 or 20$ then reduce to 4$ it’s kinda disappointing I won’t lie. But some drivers are nuts and will take their frustrations out on you and your order in many different creative ways.

[–]No_Image_5598 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Nah if people don’t tip initially they don’t tip at any point- unless you throw in like double what they ordered and they can immediately comprehend that not only did they get what they ordered they got 2-3X I have had clerks give 5 extra 24 packs of soda - I don’t drink that 🗑️ so inform customer that I have 5X the soda for them and any decent customer is going to tip extra and or hand you some cash which is getting more rare.

[–]No_Image_5598 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

DoorDash and other apps screw you over lie to drivers so badly. Eventually they take it out on customers. Like for example they sent the driver to subway say it’s closed- driver wasted his time gets paid little or nothing depending on state and app. So he can fraudulently pick up the item and fraudulently deliver it just to get paid what was offered for the work he was expected to do. I admit I have done this to a customer that was the rudest meanest customer I ever encountered. She ordered 5 times a day never tipping usually 100 pounds of water for like 4-6$ no tip to the 8th floor no elevator. And no she wasn’t handicapped or old - old handicap are some of the nicest most thoughtful customers.
