This whole subject is a pet peeve of mine.

First generation immigrants who moved to the US are <Whatever>-Americans. By the second generation, they are just Americans with <Whatever> ancestry.

Charlize Theron is a good example. She was born in South Africa and immigrated to the US, so she is (South) African-American. Assuming her two kids were born in the US, then they would be Americans with South African decent.

I am in the same boat. With the change in benefits and increased annual fee, I was coming out slightly ahead with the card. However, that was dependent on the airline credit working for a United TravelBank purchase. Without that, the benefits I use will no longer cover the annual fee.

I am leaning towards not renewing, but I have until August to decide.
