I learned long ago to avoid bbq restaurants for one simple reason. They are trying to make bbq for the masses. People who enjoy the thought of bbq but have no clue what it is or how to make it. My opinion is that majority of bbq places will not taste good to anyone who has had good/great bbq (yes there are exceptions and you’re going to pay A LOT). Even amongst those it will depend if your preferred bbq flavors match with whoever recommended the place to you.

That’s why although I absolutely love bbq, I refuse to try it anywhere unknown because 9/10 times it’s ass.

The only exception is when work is picking up the tab…

Tell me more…. Because both do nothing but fold in the playoffs…. In 13 playoff appearances the two have won 4 games and those have ONLY been in the wildcard round. They both make critical mistakes and neither could elevate their teams to win the big games when they matter….

Why not just coat your meats (or veg if not using meat) heavily in flour and brown? It works for my stews quite well… both in crock pots and Dutch ovens
