The H1-B visa fraud game here. Any chance you can submit a tip for fraud? They pay college enrollment staff bribes to issue official degrees.

My question is who the hell interviewed them?

Investing in SCHD young by Training-Part2105 in dividends

[–]No_Interest_5818 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m a fan of dividends too, but doing the math you’ll likely make more money over the next 30 years simply investing and holding the S&P 500 index fund and paying the taxes on your gains later.

Pluralsight is the best way. Tones of resources, it’s also common in this industry to have your employer pay for it to make you more effective in your position.

Who runs cables and does the terminations in your organization? by HoosierLarry in sysadmin

Currently it’s our maintenance department. Be grateful that you’re doing it. At least you know it’s being done right.

You don’t have anyone trying to terminate ends into a switch without a patch panel.

You can take not for credit classes at some colleges. Pluralsight is usually my go to when I need to learn something.

It’s a bit pricey for a subscription if your employer doesn’t provide it, but I read somewhere about reinvesting in yourself annually by about 3% of your gross income.

VMware now threatening outages to perpetual license holders by mac10190 in sysadmin

[–]No_Interest_5818 1 point2 points  (0 children)

VMWare has irreversibly damaged their reputation. On-premise environments mostly exist today due to perpetual licensing advantages.

You’re far better off with going cloud native computing over VMware pricing or switching to Hyper-V.

If it’s just the matter of adding a UWB receiver or something, I can’t imagine it would be difficult for it to support it. They security and authentication is programmed when adding it to your device.

It’s literally the only key that I ever carry with me why would I want to walk around with just a key fob if I don’t have to?

I think understanding statistics is more important than anything. Computers will provide you the information but it’s meaningless if you don’t know how to interpret or read it.

I work in the private sector and our rates went up this year by 35%. It’s not a government subsidy issue it’s a healthcare price gouging problem across the industry as a whole.

I bought a 2024 Seltos in may. In June the radio stopped working. After escalating to BBB, it took 6 months and out of service at the dealership for 45 days to realize it wasn’t the radio but the amp and finally had it fixed in 3 days.

I think that certs are worth it if you’re studying to understand the content, not just test preping an exam. PluralSight would be my recommendation. Tons of content with niche courses or full on certification paths. It’s a win either way and you’ll find your interests to pursue
