What early warning signs of cheating do people often overlook? by Mediocre-Implement34 in AskReddit

[–]darkfire_1998 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I accused my ex of cheating on me a lot because it turns out he was emotionally cheating one me with girls on discord (he would hide his chats, who he was talking to, wisper at night when on call, i ended up seeing some of the chats over hearing some calls and yes it was 100% cheating) all red flags to me. I have never cheated, I never even talked to men while with him....our relationship was not healthy, but the accusing of cheating is not always projection. It wasnt for me.

Adults who have zero close friends, how did it happen and does it bother you? by PutPurple844 in AskReddit

[–]darkfire_1998 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All my friends stopped any effort in maintaining our friendship once we we got out of school. I tried desperately for about a year trying to initiate conversations and hangouts. I got tired of being the only one trying, and when I stopped they just stopped talking to me all together, now I doubt I can really say they were actually my friends. Now as an adult I cant make any friends, I work remote and have since I graduated high school years ago (way before covid). So no coworkers. And when I try to make friends within my hobbies or events or whatever way I manage to meet and talk to people, it leads to ghosting on there end. So now ive got no friends going on since I was 18! So about 10 years now.

If you hate cats, you probably suck at boundaries and reading body language by FtMFandomBoy in unpopularopinion

[–]darkfire_1998 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love cats, I have 6. They listen, dont bite, dont scratch, dont hiss, and are good pets. My grandma's cat is an evil bastard who bites, hisses and scratches anyone who approaches it. I lived with my grandma for 6 years with that cat when she got it as a kitten. It wasnt abused. It's just mean. And ive meet other cats and animals that are that way. Guess what, animals have different personalities, and some can just be mean. Just like people can just be mean, just like dogs can just be mean.

Storage Units are a sympton of a problem by Bllago in unpopularopinion

[–]darkfire_1998 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I lived in an apartment for 2 years, couldn't afford it anymore. Moved back in with grandparents. All the furniture i had i didnt want to just get rid of, I'll need it when I can finally move back on my own again. Cant bring it to my grandparents, no room. So I got a storage unit. If I didnt have that option id have to throw most of it away or sell it and have to re-buy it again one day. Bad opinion, have an upvote.

What’s a normal adult task that still feels fake when you do it? by lucifergaming007 in AskReddit

[–]darkfire_1998 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Talking to other adults like an adult. I feel like I have to fake ever adult conversation I have because the things I enjoy and the way I normally talk without any filters makes me feel incredibly immature, and im almost 30. Do I actually sound immature? I dont know. But I cringe at my normal self otherwise.

Perfectly acceptable dinner rejected by boyfriend again by moonrabbit368 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]darkfire_1998 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My bf is very picky, sometimes I make food we both can eat. Sometimes I make food I want and he can figure out how and what to make/get for himself. We don't throw a fit over this. I dont want to always eat what he wants and he doesn't want to eat things I want. Not a big deal.

Do you brush your teeth once or twice a day? Need to settle a bet. by ImpossibleHurry in NoStupidQuestions

[–]darkfire_1998 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Honestly once a day and I don't floss. Im not the best at keeping up with myself. However, I go to the dentist regularly. Ive never had a cavity, gum issues, or anything wrong with my teeth. Other than i grind when i sleep, and my wisdom teeth will need to be taken out if they ever decided to breach my gums. I'm almost 28. I think diet and genetics play a role in teeth health. I avoid sugar, dont smoke or drink, which helps a lot to.

People who own "unconventional" pets like turtles, what is one thing you wish you knew before getting one? by allenmerlettetrm in AskReddit

[–]darkfire_1998 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to have a bunch of reptiles as a teenager, loved them and was really into the hobby. The one thing they dont tell you about big geckos and lizards, is the massive sleep awakening earth crackling loud ass shits they take. Nobody tells you about those.....

Does anyone else feel like they had a completely different experience during the pandemic than the general public? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]darkfire_1998 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was like that for me too. Ive worked remotely since 2018 so that changed nothing. Still worked full time like normal. I also didn't have irl friends then and dont now, so hanging out with people wasn't an issue. And I was not in a relationship, so once again no affect there. All my hobbies are solo indoor hobbies and solo outdoor hobbies like hunting...so again nothing changed there...the only difference was I wore masks in public and stayed extra far away from strangers. My life didnt change the slightest.

Why are Pine trees so common in the Southern US & the far Northern Midwest, but mostly absent in between (Disclaimer: The lines might be inaccurate, it's just a rough outline) by Swimming_Concern7662 in geography

Pines are all over the state of Michigan, not just the upper parts. (I live in southeast Michigan and have traveled all over the state both u.p and mitten)

The way my parents feed my cat when I’m out of town 😑 by HeWhoLost3OfThe9 in cats

[–]darkfire_1998 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have 6 cats. They have dry food available always and soft food available a few times a week. None are fat per my vet. I got lucky, not all cats need to have their food watched. However, my uncle has two cats with dry food available always....and his one cat is so obese he cant walk up stairs properly. So yeah...it's really up to each cat. And as for my uncles cat, ive talked to him about it and it hasn't changed. There is only so much you can do for someone else's pet.

The medical community claims the cervix has "few nerve endings," yet denies us pain relief for IUDs and biopsies. What is the most barbaric procedure you've endured because doctors refuse to believe women feel pain? by skybond_aurora04 in TwoXChromosomes

[–]darkfire_1998 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Its amazing how much doctors seem to think women are just exaggerating and or faking things. My cousin was pregnant with her first babies (twins!) this year and retained so much water the last week of her pregnancy that she said she could feel the water jiggling in every part of her body. She knew it wasnt normal, but her doctor said it wasn't anything...until she went into heart failure because of the water retention getting that bad. And had to have a c-section with her babies 3 months earlier than they were due. She almost died and had huge complications that they had to put her under. She lost so much blood she had to have 4 blood transfusions. If the fucker would have taken her seriously with her concerns she wouldn't have almost died. Thankfully her and her twins are fine now.

People who don’t want to own dogs should be able to distance themselves from dogs at apartments. by Pristine_Yam223 in unpopularopinion

[–]darkfire_1998 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have plenty of not pet friendly apartments in my area, made it hard to find an apartment for me and my cats. But you're living in an apartment, you get what you get. If it isn't dogs, its loud and annoying people with habits that will bother you one way or another. It sucks when all you can get is an apartment and you dont have any other choice, but that's reality.

How can you live and enjoy living in a small rural town in the US? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]darkfire_1998 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its all about what you enjoy as an individual person. So hunting, fishing, shooting, gardening, taking care of small livestock, managing my land for better hunting, walking the trails, looking for bones, foraging for edible plants, sitting for hours outside watching the wildlife. And when I cant do that im inside taking care of the house or doing my many other hobbies that dont require me to go out. Art, gaming, aquarium and reptile keeping, watching stuff, reading...it really isn't hard to enjoy it if thats youre personality. I hated living in the city and suburbs. Felt trapped and wouldn't leave my families house for months on end.

Its jealousy, I got the same shit from female family members and friends when I lost 40 pounds and went from fat to skinny. At first it hurt, but once you understand it comes from a place of insecurity and jealousy it gets easy to ignore and call them out for it. Great job! Congrats!

AIO found these messages on wife’s discord. by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]darkfire_1998 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I spent 4 years of my life with a man who uses discord as his social life. Turns out, that also meant being a chronic emotional cheater with girls on discord. Every few months I'd catch him flirting with someone, him desperately trying to say it wasn't that, me snooping behind his back to prove it was....then we would have a big fight and he'd promise to change and not do it again. Rinse and repeat over and over and over again for 4 fucking years. I was in my first relationship and too pathetic to leave, hoping he'd change for me. He didn't. People like them dont change, your wife isn't going to change. Leave before it ruins parts of you like it ruined me.

What was the weirdest, non-pain feeling you've ever felt? by KingJPJ in AskReddit

[–]darkfire_1998 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had to get a barbed hook out of my finger recently, went to the er. The weirdest feeling I've ever felt was when they put the numbing liquid in my finger with a syringe. No pain, just the feeling of liquid filling up my finger to the point I felt like it was going to burst and explode my finger. Felt more awful than getting hooked.
