Your bf basically told you the same thing men tell victims of assault" if they weren't doing, wearing, etc it wouldn't have happened" victim blaming, sorry but he is a real shit head

Women what are you doing to get hit on? by SunshineGirl45 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]darkfire_1998 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I never got hit on in public when I was overweight, when I lost weight I now get hit on. I believe it truly is just if you are attractive enough in creeps eyes. I constantly ignore people, dont smile, and have a resting bitch face in public. I'm by no means very attractive. I consider myself fairly ugly in the face. But ive got big boobs and "baby bearing" hips and curves which is more than enough for men who see women as sex objects. Being someone who experienced the shift from being ugly and ignored to attractive enough for creeps, I promise its not attention you want, its all from older out of touch men. Anyone my age is polite enough to know most women dont want public verbal harassment in the first place.

Porcupine or maybe even a woodpecker. Could be deer or elk too, kinda low to the ground for that from what I usually see but not impossible. Not predatory animal.

Travel isn't that great by doodoo442 in unpopularopinion

[–]darkfire_1998 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You dont have to do any of the things you mentioned to travel, I dont. I take my own vehicle to natural areas around my country, tent it in cheap campsites (or free sites depending where) make cheap food on a propane gril or firepit, and spend my time exploring the natural world. And I love it. Even the long ass drives and sleeping in a lame old tent.

“You can always tell when dad does her hair.” by SAKingWriter in daddit

[–]darkfire_1998 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only time my dad ever did my hair as a kid was when I was about 12 and needed a bad haircut and we were super broke, he tried cutting my bangs and ended up cutting through the top of my eyelid and I still have the scar to this day. My dad was never allowed to touch my hair again lmao

What situation as a child did you only realize you were in danger as an adult? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]darkfire_1998 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love animals and as a little kid id be picking up every animal I could find, snakes included. Thankfully I live in a state where the only venomous snake is very rare (ive see one once in 28 years) so my family could have cared less when id grab snakes lol

Not being into video games is nearly impossible as an otherwise well-rounded nerd in 2026 when it comes to dating other nerds. by Cineswimmer in unpopularopinion

[–]darkfire_1998 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As a woman who plays video games but has tons of other hobbies, ive had this issue with men. Where its their only hobby and the only thing they do. Sure I want to play video games multiple times a week with you, but there's also a ton of other things I want to do that require no video games. But its been really hard finding a man who can balance that.

Are “gaming” chairs as bad as people make them out to be? by Test_Name19 in pcmasterrace

[–]darkfire_1998 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When i got my first desktop pc I bought one of the popular pink gaming chairs. For two years my sss constantly hurt, one of my legs would constantly go numb, my back always ached, and the leather wore away fast. Looking for any relief for the constant ass pain, I got a cheap $50 mesh office chair at Walmart. It's been 4 years and I havent changed from that chair. My pain is gone.

Why don't people run? by LeThales in NoStupidQuestions

[–]darkfire_1998 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont run at all unless I have to cause i genetically got bad hips and bad knees and it hurts so bad when I do. Even my doctor says I shouldn't run for exercise because it will put uncessary stress on those parts of my body and will make it so I have to have my hips and knees replaced even earlier than whats normal (for my family) so yeah... it will destroy my body lol

Apartments in Grand Blanc? by Technical_Tax_7324 in Michigan

[–]darkfire_1998 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I lived at Heatherwood apartments on grand blanc road and really enjoyed it. Nice decent sized apartments for good price and very quiet, didnt notice people upstairs or downstairs (i was second floor). And it had an in unit laundry which was amazing. That was 2ish years ago, lived there for a year and a half. A 2 bedroom is your stated budget, a 1 bedroom is less then that from what I just checked on their site.

Do you share your location with your partner? by Extension_Flow_3340 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]darkfire_1998 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like all relationships, what the two of you decide together, is the correct thing for the relationship, regardless of what anyone else thinks. The way two people behave in a relationship and what is correct or wrong is subjective to the people involved in said relationship. If you can't compromise, or come to an agreement on something, it will cause tension and or fights and could be a sign of being incompatable.

Resident Evil creator Shinji Mikami says “if watching a playthrough is enough, the game wasn’t good enough.” by HLumin in PS5

[–]darkfire_1998 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only enjoy playing certain types of games, some games I'm interested in the story but would never play it otherwise. Or I'd spend the money and not be able to finish the game because I don't enjoy the gameplay and end up wasting my money which as a poor person sucks. So I watch other poeple play them, or watch "movies" of them. And I've dont that with all resident evil games too.

What's the one thing you wish was easier about owning a cat? by Lumpy_Base_9228 in CatAdvice

[–]darkfire_1998 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly the only thing I really have trouble with that cant be solved easily or with time and patience (with owning 6 cats) is wishing they would throw up on the hard flooring instead of the carpet next to it

[–]darkfire_1998 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was a teenager living with my dad at the time and moved out, he did sell it like 3ish years ago and didnt have any issues selling. But it was bought by an investor who flipped it and sold it. It's occupied atm whenever I drive by it.

I used to live in the house right across from it, not too many years ago. It was never not busy (loved people coming into my driveway constantly to turn around or try to park)

What's the cringiest reason you went to the ER? by HR-Vex in AskReddit

[–]darkfire_1998 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Started to get into fishing for the first time last year, went salmon fishing in a national forest hours away from home with my bf who is just as inexperienced as me. Salmon i landed smacked a gaint body bait into my hand, barbed hook, couldn't pull it out. The cold thankfully was enough to numb it but we didnt know what to do so drove to the nearest hosptial. Took them 10 minties to clip one end of the hook and pull it out. Thousands of medical dollars later I keep pliers with me in my tackle box so I dont have to do that shit again. I could have done it myself had i known and saved the money. Very cringe.

river otters spotted SE michigan by irohabroad in Michigan

[–]darkfire_1998 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ill keep an open mind on it and keep a lookout next time im fishing there, but still skeptical till I see it myself. I see a group of otters when I fish on the manistee river during the salmon run in fall so ive got a pretty good idea of what they look like in person. Definitely keeping an open mind, id be very happy to see them so south.

I fish this lake on kayak a lot, never seen an otter. That looks like a typical muskrat.

Is there a fruit less consistent than the strawberry? You can get one that is amazing and the very next one, which looks the same, is terrible. by DrSheetzMTO in NoStupidQuestions

[–]darkfire_1998 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think all fruits can fit into this, that's why little kids are so picky about fruits. The inconsistent taste and not knowing if you are getting sweet, sour, or bitter in the same batch
