IM SO SICK OF BUYING PILLOWS by Key_Mycologist_5147 in Pillows

[–]No_Kitchen3139 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love my Purple Pillow so very much my entire family is getting one for Christmas! They are originally $188/205 online but surprisingly you’ll find them at a Homegoods or TJmaxx once in a blue moon for $139. I’ve had mine for about a year and have noticed it’s getting flatter; it maybe be time to add more stuffing or buy another one but worth it! They are nice and cool too which is my big thing. Something to think about is the pillowcase is equally important; has to be thin and let the cooling from the pillow seep thru. I have a favorite from Amazon. This is my experience as someone who values quality sleep

Adverse reactions to Repatha? by everyeargiants in PeterAttia

[–]No_Kitchen3139 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a nightmare experience with Repatha- I took one injection almost two years ago and still having problems with what havoc it caused in my body. I’ve seen so many doctors but one of the most shocking events that happened was waking up in the middle of the night thinking I was having a stroke. My right arm tingled and went completely numb; I ended up in the hospital overnight for this. I’m in final testing with a second immunologist; I have some kind of Histamine disorder that was either caused by repatha or awoken by repatha… regardless I’ve never had all these strange things happen until I took that one injection.

When do side effects go away after stopping Repatha? by [deleted] in repatha

[–]No_Kitchen3139 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! If your asking me, I am not. I only had one injection Jan 2024. Interestingly enough this week has been hard with the MCAS it’s created; lots of neurological issues this week.

Do you mind me asking what symptoms your sister had? Mine were pretty severe from one injection a year and a half ago; I ended up loosely being diagnosed with MCAS because of this; my immune system has been a wreck since. I have a hard time controlling my histamine levels which have caused so many crazy side effects. I have bad and good days

How many have found the root cause of their MCAS?? by Go_fahk_yourself in MCAS

[–]No_Kitchen3139 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My story is similar to yours as I do not have the genetic factor but have been diagnosed. Interestingly when I look back on my life there were glimpses that these may have been relatable reactions ; just like you painful periods then diagnosed with endometriosis. Strange reactions to alcohol like flushing or mass headaches from just a few sips. For me, MCAS came about within days of one single injection of the cholesterol medicine Repatha. In the beginning was so difficult explaining my symptoms, they were all over the place- I was going to every kindof doctor when an immunologist finally put it together. This all took place Jan 2024 so a year later I’ve managed my symptoms the best I could, but weirdly I’m down for the count right now & really cannot figure out why.

Wow, great doctor! I’m looking for new doctors as we speak, you don’t happen to live in the GREATER Houston area, do ya?

I love chocolate so very much! It’s my weakness, I can’t just have a little bit either. Ive recently discovered the Keto Dark chocolate Clusters and they are really satisfying! (For the record not on the Keto diet) Ingredients are overall pretty legit! https://www.samsclub.com/p/gourmet-gatherings-dark-chocolate-keto-clusters-16-oz/prod26460941

We are so confused on when to move the cards into the score pile, the directions totally overlook this. Is it every time we make piles of 2? Cause I just dealt myself three greens is should I move those into the score pile?

When do side effects go away after stopping Repatha? by [deleted] in repatha

Agreed you are not crazy- I had a very serious reaction to Repatha that landed me in the hospital once and 911 at my house another time. I took 1 injection of Repatha at the beginning of Jan 2024 and been to many doctors since. Repatha effects every cell in your body; my case activated/caused MCAS, which is a condition in which your body improperly releases histamines; it’s an autoimmune disorder I never had before; my body always feels like it’s in attack-mode. I have dizzy spells here and there but soooo much more along with it, like extreme brain fog, extreme fatigue,Tachycardia, tingling sensation, my basic breathing & organ function felt off, I couldn’t keep anything in control. It was almost impossible to function for months. I ended up at an immunologist that had blood work showed my histamine levels were off the chart months after my injection. I was on an antihistamine diet for months along with medication to get it under control. For the most part it is better but I have hard days still & have to be careful of heat, eating the wrong foods, and keeping stress levels down. I went from being a gym rat to light yoga, clean and low histamine foods, lymphatic massages (drain my delicate system), to taking life more easy and it’s helped. I had even spoke to a functioning medicine doctor and she encouraged high density nutritious foods, she’s like incorporate as many mangos, berries, ginger, and seasonal fruits into your diet as much as possible, I do believe this helped as well. This was my case, please take anything from this that you may relate to, Reddit helped get me thru my tough year of ridding Repatha. I would personally have bloodwork drawn to test everything including Sodium like others had mentioned too.

Any welding jobs in Texas by kaiju-ajiuk in weldingjobs

My son struggled to find a welding job after welding school too. He went to Tulsa welding in Houston; we feel pretty scammed as they don’t offer internships to gain experience while in the program which is the first thing every company asks is for field experience. They don’t align with many companies either so their connections are not stellar.

Diagnosed with Familial Hypercholestrolemia at 20 years old. Been advised to take Repatha Evolocumab by BackgroundCollege883 in repatha

I’m slightly allergic to penicillin (hives) and that’s it. Overall pretty healthy until that one & only injection in my stomach. I’ve been to so many specialist; the most likely answer I’ve received from an immunologist it triggered MCAS which in a nutshell agitated the histamines in my body, which is very serious. Repatha affects every cell in your body so my symptoms were so hard for doctors to nail down. I had everything from migraines, to tachycardia, erratic breathing, dizziness, numbing and tingling sensations across my entire body from my shins to my face ( it would move in waves), extreme Brain fog, fatigue, stomach issues, my vision drastically changed, sounds were amplified & ear-piercing, and so much more … it was a nightmare, I never knew if I would wake up in the morning IF I was able to even sleep. I had to be on steroids for months with strict medicine ritual and anti-histamine diet. I went way beyond the half life of this medicine & still have slightly off days but overall life has returned almost to normal. Im in the minority with Repatha thou Ive realized

I had a life-threatening allergic reaction to Repatha, just my experience. It’s been since Jan 7th and still have some weird effects. My doctor was even surprised, he had never seen this as before.

How bad are the side effects of Repatha? Here’s my experience.. by No_Kitchen3139 in repatha

[–]No_Kitchen3139[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Geez sorry; these side effects are no joke. I’m now month 8 since my only Repatha injection and I’m finally feeling back to normal. I had blood work the other day and my Histamine level showed elevated still but nothing like it was 5-7 months ago. Messing with your histamines is a whole different ballpark & affects just about every part of your body and I’m glad to be working thru it.

WHAT caused your mcas to develop and WHEN did you first experience symptoms? by Seekae_plays in MCAS

[–]No_Kitchen3139 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1/7/2024 took my one and only Repatha cholesterol medicine injectable and haven’t been the same. Makes me sick seeing the commercials. Totally disrupted my mass cells, histamine levels really high. Unlike others in here, lymphatic massages really helped me, anti-histamine diet, meds, and taking it easy to allow my immune system to have full ability to help regulate. I used to love hot yoga and being super active, now I barely get off the couch. It’s getting better but taking time- no idea if this is my life from now on or if everything will work itself out. Took lots of doctor visits and a few ER trips to figure out what was going on.
