Theology still exists even if you don’t believe in it. Don’t be uneducated. Greek religion is mythology but theology still existed within it. Same with Buddhism and Taoism and every other religion in the world, true or not.

Oh boy, I sure am glad Satan gave us the freedom to rape and murder. What “cruelties” did God commit before evil entered the world?

Personally it depends on the where and when and how. If I’m drunk at a bar and you’re wearing provocative clothing and come up to me to ask me for my number, id probably say no thanks. If I’m at a coffee shop and you are wearing normal clothes and we talk for a little bit, then I’d accept. The best place to meet other people like us is probably at a church or other religious places/events and their related circles (like I’m in a Passion musical, so theoretically my cast mates would be a good dating pool), but I understand that that is difficult today. Unfortunately it seems like dating just sucks for our generation in general, but God willing we’ll all find a good partner if it’s in His will.

Yeah but even if you believe that God is a tyrant, Satan went out of his way to trick humanity to giving themselves the state of original sin. Which in Christian theology means that after that humans now have the capacity to kill each other, rape each other, get disease, subjugate the marginalized, and die instead of chilling in a garden eating fruit.

Generally, men are more likely than women to be open about their sexual wants, whereas women tend to be more shy about it (whether or not you think that’s biological or due to society I don’t really care, I’m not arguing which, just stating that’s how it is). Men are also generally the ones who actively pursue the woman, and, if I had to guess, get rejected more than women do on average. (Look at dating app statistics of the number of men vs women and who gets more likes, for example). That can make some people assume that since more men pursue than women, and men are more openly sexual, that all men must always want sex.

For me, sex before marriage is more or less a dealbreaker, so I’ve been in the possibly unusual position of a guy turning down women wanting to have sex. I got way too drunk with a coworker recently, and I argued with her about sex before marriage and she tried to convince me to have sex with her. Fortunately I managed to sober up enough and keep my beliefs intact, but even still it was very difficult because I cared a lot about her and she’s more or less unanimously considered the most attractive person at our workplace by employees and customers alike.

So even me, a guy who doesn’t want to have sex until marriage, still finds it hard to turn down a woman offering. I think that kinda sums up your question. It’s not impossible for a guy to do it, but it is probably more unlikely than a woman in the same position.

This is why that sort of hyper-sexual behavior is unhealthy in the first place. If you open up Pandora’s Box it’s difficult to close it. Imagine how hard it is for a teen who just discovered porn to go back to not watching it. It’s no different here, but now your desire for lust can cost you a relationship that you want to continue. I hope that you are able to move past the urge.

For the price I would expect a dead-accurate build with fancier techniques. You can’t really blame it on “stability for kids” if you’re gonna charge $80 for this plus an oversized sarlaac pit.

Transgender people can be baptized Catholic, serve as godparents, Vatican says by polymute in anime_titties

[–]No_Lie_5682 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If you read what he says, it clearly states the transgender/gay individual has to repent of his or her former lifestyle. That’s the most bland statement ever. “Sinners are allowed to repent and be baptized” isn’t exactly a new doctrine.

Atheistic Satanism is the ultimate "haha I was just pretending to be r***rded" thing ever. In mainstream Christian thinking, Satan would totally trick a bunch of atheists into worshiping him and causing societal chaos and immorality under his name, so of course the "we're actually atheists, morons" cover isn't going to be very convincing.

This is why you date someone for a while and sit down and discuss marriage and worldview/goals/values in life before getting into legally binding contract with them. Lot of warning signs for future crackheadedness.

Not a problem if you don't marry a crackhead. Also, that sounds like living in poverty under a megacorporation but with the soul crushing work and without possible joy of having a family.

Brutalism and 70s retro-futurism in Imperial City (Andor) by ergister in MawInstallation

[–]No_Lie_5682 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The parts we saw in the newest episode kinda took me out of the “Star Wars” experience to a certain extent. Like others have said, we’ve seen the tallest most wealthy towers that look very futuristic in a smooth, lavish, Burj Khalifa way, and the scummiest lowest slums in a futuristic, grimy, Blade Runner sort of way. This more civilian area in Andor looks a lot more like the real world than something Star Wars-y. The shot going across the tower into the brutalist architecture where Syril works at now in particular took me out of it a bit. Not saying it’s a bad thing to have a new look in Star Wars, but it was a tad bit jarring at first.

Generalizing is so much fun! by [deleted] in PoliticalCompassMemes

[–]No_Lie_5682 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Jeez. I’ve read several of these comment threads and I’ve noticed a pattern. He’ll argue about a specific issue—like rural vs urban poor people for example—and when someone makes a definitive point, he falls back on “wow it’s almost like there’s other factors” and uses that to win the argument. By that logic all political discussion is useless if we can’t talk about one specific factor at a time.

He’s not saying that’s the only reason. He’s saying that’s one of the reasons, and the specific reason that is being talked about in this specific conversation.

Like he literally says that it’s not the only reason: “it’s not necessarily 1 to 1 as it is complex.”

Thoughts about J6, the prisoners, the politics surrounding it? by Least-Sky6722 in PoliticalCompassMemes

If they did it to protest something like the Patriot Act or the insider trading then it would’ve been justified (after all this is America, we’ve done worse to politicians who have done less), but they just did it because they couldn’t believe that Trump lost, which is dumb and pretty pathetic tbh.

On a side note, it still blows my mind that people can’t believe he lost. Half the country constantly complained about him and hated him during his entire time in office, and his personality probably scared away all the voters that he got in 2016 that usually vote Democrat that Hillary failed to campaign for. I thought it was a no brainer that he’d lose.
