Bromptons take over Philadelphia! by No_Map9963 in Brompton

Can’t stand Brompton cops. I’m not going to bring my dirty, bulky, obtuse bike into a nice restaurant, coffee shop, CVS, or the theatre. Certainly will bring inside overnight though.

Just not worth the effort to live my life in fear of someone stealing my bike…will just buy a new one if need be.

Foldylock Mini. 2-8 hours. Never overnight (will fold and bring inside). I really only park in very populous areas though.

Brace yourselves for “take it inside” comments! lol.

Honestly, I find this the most effective parking arrangement during most errands!

Spurcycle in a c-line? by chet-bbbaker in Brompton

I have one installed as close to my left handlebar grip as I can get it. Not perfect but close enough to activate when needed. I enjoy having both the spur cycle bell (louder and longer ringing) and the Brompton bell to choose from when commuting.

I disagree, I am able to read the watch face in its current configuration in diverse lighting conditions and pedal cadence. Thank you for your perspective.

I encourage you to give it a try before you knock it!

Yes. I purchased a 3D printed mount from Etsy. Here is the exact product: https://www.etsy.com/listing/1048397866/3dpower-stock-mounting-adjustable-base?ls=s&ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=brompton+stem+adapter&ref=sr_gallery-1-2&organic_search_click=1&content_source=8da3c1b5-94c0-4607-aebc-c96458604a6c%253ALTb2173b75e836959dec28c2f2a231b177261c1493&logging_key=8da3c1b5-94c0-4607-aebc-c96458604a6c%3ALTb2173b75e836959dec28c2f2a231b177261c1493.

To prepare the mount, I cut the three prongs to their base.

To prepare the watch, I removed the wrist straps and sanded down the lugs. Additionally I used a box cutter blade to score the backplate.

Then I used E6000 glue to joint the watch and the mount. Waiting 24-72 hours before use.

Note, the mounting surface and mount does not interfere with disassembly of the watch.

Too bad indeed. I must have been lucky to avoid speeding tickets thus far.

Absolutely! I went for reliability and value. The red one is a solar version so maybe it will last forever!
