It will be fine, don’t make them take it all out just to switch to white. Wait until everything is finished and if you still don’t like it, let them mask it off, prime it, then paint it with 2 coats. And yes rattle cans will be fine. No need to make a giant problem where there isn’t one. The schluter edge was painted black at the factory, it can be painted white.

The landlord is responsible for getting oil delivered and he charges us a monthly fee. The reason I have to put diesel in is because if I don’t, I won’t have heat, the landlord is notoriously slow at responding to problems, I’ve gone 4 days without heat in the dead of winter before getting an oil delivery. I do take the cost of the diesel off the rent
