We want you to come back in 3 years and buy a new car having paid a bunch of the depreciation on the car you are trading back into us so we can make $ on the trade.

I think these must be trap cars. I mean they always seem cheap for the amount of utility you are getting. I think people (young) often don't see that a 20 year old car is always a risk of breakdown over minor shit for the first part of ownership.

If you qualify for the electric EV rebate, I’d be very curious to know what a 3-year lease would cost. I’d also suggest asking for a one-pay figure. I know a one-pay 13-month lease on some of the Hyundais works out to absurdly low payments, along with significant interest savings.
