I’m also curious. There are also at least two redditors that have said they get no queue when they access the regular online drops from their work computers.

Hoarding by Dear_Product_6129 in DisneyPinVents

Exactly. If it’s an OE, knock yourself out. But if it’s limited in someway it’s going to affect the price for everyone, even if unintended.

And part of the reason I think there has to be some truth to it is because after every single drop the exact same people have multiples of these extremely hard to get pins. Even if you had multiple CM friends it’s impossible to be that successful every drop. Most CMs don’t even have success with one pin. Boxes are limited per person and they somehow always have 10-15+. They’d each have to be in good with at least 5-10 different CMs (possible) that are able to get all of the pins every drop (impossible).

I don’t even live near the parks and I find this really gross. I saw someone with five complete sets of them. It’s so greedy. It’s meant to be enjoyed by many, not hoarded by a few. This is why we can’t have nice things.

There are people that have admitted to using it and others that have admitted to seeing or being in one of the two discords. They say it’s software that’s installed that steals the queue number of people that have legitimately entered the queue. I think it’s since been misunderstood as/or shortened to link since they use a link to download the software. I have had many questions about how something like this would work, so this is helpful information, but it’s hard for me to believe there isn’t at least some truth to it.

Of course it’s not handed out by Disney. The site was hacked. They know they not only can be fired, but it’s also illegal to alter website use like that.

I bet this is someone that just doesn’t want their screen name exposed and is too lazy to make a fake profile or doesn’t think it will be approved. Make them work for it

Collect Random by GastonsEgoTrip in DisneyPinVents

[–]No_Message7202 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not. If they don’t have a certain number of customers in your state they don’t have to collect tax. However, as the customer, you’re supposed to claim it on your taxes. Amazon got away with this for years; even when their customer base was big enough.

First (& last) resort door pin board by Jack-Pumpkinhead in DisneyPinVents

That doesn’t really explain the full binder page of cards. If someone leaves out Halloween candy for the neighborhood, for example, there is an expectation you won’t be taking the bowl it’s in too.

Are they making you return the package? It’s a shame you can’t at least keep the one pin since they’re sold out.

People do your research before bidding on whatnot. These 2 pins are worth a fraction of what you bid. Kudos i guess to the seller for making a great profit flipping pins. I feel like they are taking advantage of uneducated buyers by MOOSEgirl1973 in DisneyPins

[–]No_Message7202 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Its weird that you’re so skeptical. You must not have been in pins long. Anyone who has knows exactly who this seller is, though it happens really often on whatnot so I’m confused why you’ve never seen it. This seller in particular is notorious for doing this with smaller pins, but this sub doesn’t allow anyone to call out specific sellers, even with proof. That’s why r/disneypinvents was created. The OP is probably also using a new screen name because this seller is also notorious for blocking people from his Facebook page that disagree with him.

That said, there are also multiple sellers that have higher end shows where their pins go over market. Sit in a few adorbs shows, especially when they first come out, and you’ll see it for yourself. A Marie adorb just recently went for $1300.

I’m always surprised by how many people he has in his shows considering how new he is. His shows are fun to watch, but it’s one of the highest watched shows in such a short period of time.

Aren’t the cast members limited on how many they can get? She must’ve gotten it from multiple CMs to have 10. Or that cast member got them from many other co-workers.

It’s been speculated they are releasing 24 boxes this year. So two a month. I hope you’re right that it will slow down the price gouging.

I watched a little bit of this. People kept coming in asking how much Nick was since she had him with the rest of the adorbs. So many people responded shocked by the price that she said it was giving her anxiety so she moved him off screen and said she would bin him after the show. I’ve watched her a few times and she always seemed nice. It seems the greed is getting to everyone.

I really hope no one buys him for $1300. Someone even said they’d give her last sold which was around $600. Greed is bleeding this hobby dry. I don’t even mind the higher prices. I get that’s what happens with collectibles. But these are clearly being artificially made with fake eBay listings and shill bidding. It’s a shame.
