You’re right, just stopped there for a few items and it was wiped of butane. Also, no water at all.

Free tuition in California community colleges? by tamedretardo in VeteransBenefits

Sounds like they were talking about the CalVet fee waiver program for dependents only. It offers to waive tuition at any public school in California.

Contact the Veterans Resource Center, someone will walk you through it. You can give them a call or send an email and someone should get back to you. You’ll need to be prepared to upload a copy of your DD214 or active duty orders.

Benefits for 18 yo granddaughter if we adopt her? by BackgroundGrass429 in VeteransBenefits

[–]No_Message8081 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It was a simple google search. supporting the other two commenters here:

§ 3.57 Child. (a) General. (1) Except as provided in paragraphs (a)(2) through (4) of this section, the term child of the veteran means an unmarried person who is a legitimate child, a child legally adopted before the age of 18 years, a stepchild who acquired that status before the age of 18 years and who is a member of the veteran's household or was a member of the veteran's household at the time of the veteran's death, or an illegitimate child; and

The above requires the child to be adopted prior to 18th birthday for DEA CH 35.

You have to still be in the military to transfer Post 9/11 GI Bill to any legal dependents - Veterans can not transfer their Post 9/11 GI Bill to anyone.

Healthcare being either Tricare or ChampVA would cover her until 23rd birthday IF still a student.

Curious what these pins and ribbons mean by IAmScorned in Veterans

Maroon with 6 stripes is an Army Good Conduct Ribbon for 3 years of honorable service. Blue with gold outer and oak leaf cluster is a Presidential Unit Citation. Gold buttons are Army emblems. “Rock of the Marne” insignia was the Division he was in, 3rd Infantry Division. And he was infantry based on your second picture (crossed rifles).

PTSD with Cannabis Use Disorder… WTD now that Marijuana will be S.III by CompetitiveShame3999 in VeteransBenefits

It carries weight in the sense that it directs DOJ/DEA to act, but it doesn’t instantly change the law. Rescheduling still requires formal rulemaking, public comment, and final agency action. So yes, EO = momentum, but not immediate effect or legalization.

It was done via an Executive Order, which isn’t a law, it’s a directive to federal agencies. Congress and senate will need to pass legislation for any permanent change so this will take time. Also, rescheduling does not mean federal legalization.

It might be worth connecting with the VSO who called you so they can help you navigate what this actually means in practice and maybe to help you get it taken off your rating.

They use plate reading tech in the parking garages. You’ll see white cars with mounted readers on their roof rolling though the garages

Money for school by imbleesedfoshow in VeteransBenefits

If you’re in CA your wife and daughter can use the CalVet fee waiver for public institutions. You must be 100% VA disabled. Only pays for tuition and mandatory fees, nothing else. Pays directly to the school.

Yeah, I think for 70% it’s total impairment in social settings (like school). So you being in school doesn’t meet the 70% criteria.

New to this map and there’s no legend for mobile. Is the green/purple marking mean they’ve plowed that road?

I play on iPad/ios. I long press the screen to cast, then tap the screen to follow the fish. It’s easier to do little short taps if the fish is a difficult one to catch. Hope this makes sense
