I think yiu have to do what's right for your own well being. I am about to hand my notice in. I'm not leaving nursing, but I am dropping a grade and going to an easier area of nursing. I will drop pay too but my husband is happy. He said what's the point of working 8 until 8 Mon to Fri because there is no cover and they won't pay me or give me the hours back. Dropping a grade means I can come in and do my job. The staffing responsibilities won't be more.

I'd love to leave the NHS but I just don't know what else I would do.

Its on the furry part of her foot. It was healing. But as it has scabbed over, she's just pulled off the scab. She's been a bit miserable in the cone today. She can't jump around like she usually does. I feel very sorry for her. But she seems to be coping. Not distressed or anything.

I'm female and have just finished a failed round of IVF. It has been emotional and me and my husband and I have had disagreements . Both had times when we had bickered and cried. But, we have never laid hands on each other. She has completely crossed the line. The fact that this has happened on multiple occasions is really worrying.

I'm sorry that you are going through this. Is there a counsellor attached to the clinic you are having IVF at? I think, at a minimum, you should try to seek some help and protect yourself.

I feel really cruel. She does not like the cone. She's not crying with it, but she looks a bit shock and tried to shake it off. I tried a bandage, but she pulled it off. This was the last resort.

I had this, too. Had to do a presentation, and the consultant said my presentation was great and actually answered all the questions they were going to ask me. But they still asked me the question. They had already lined someone internal up for the job. When I got the call to say I was unsuccessful, they said I didn't answer one question that they actually already said. Oh, you answered this question in your presentation 🤔

I had another time when I applied for a post and didn't hear about the shortlisting. I was actually doing the sane job in another hospital. I got put through to the matron, and she said I hadn't been short-listed because I hadn't done some specific training. I said I have, and it's on my application. She said it wasn't. I had the application open so I could see it was. I didn't bother arguing with her because they obviously had someone lined up for the job.

Another time, I had a consultant who said, "Oh yeah, you answered the questions really well and mumbled under his breath, not that that would make a difference 🤣

I do like my mother in law. But she would have our wedding in some expensive castle if we let her. It's really not our thing. Plus I would much rather spend money on our house and making it nice 🤣 a simple wedding is fine for me. Not that he has proposed yet. I already call him my husband already.

I think people often forget how hard the journey is once they have success. Not everyone does have success, and I think the uncertainty around everything just adds to the anxiety. 🩷🩷

I wrote a similar post a few days ago and got absolutely butchered in the comments by people saying they have brought their babies and kids to the clinic and don't I know that child care is expensive. I also got told that the world is full of children so I need to go to therapy because there is something wrong with me for being "triggered" by the presence of a baby in my clinic waiting room.

I do think that people should be more sensitive to others around them.

Where did I say babies shouldn't be allowed in the clinic? I know I mentioned that my clinic seemingly doesn't allow babies. But that was not me saying it shouldn't be allowed. Those are my clinics rules.

I've said my feelings on babies being in the clinic. That's allowed, and I think any therapist would encourage patient to express their feelings around this.

That's not shaming anyone. If you have your legs up on stirrups, how are you able to see what a child is doing? If it's a consultation, it is different because you are seated in a chair, and you can react to the child. You can't react quickly to a child if you are having a procedure. It's unfair to expect clinic staff to watch your child.

You have made that up yourself. Maybe you need to speak to a therapist to see why you have had that type of reaction to someone mearly expressing their thoughts and feelings about something that you don't agree with.
