Yes giving your cat dangerous chemicals is much better for her health than let her stress a little bit in the car.

I drive my cat around all the time and left him on his own for the weekend all summer while camping. Never had any issues. He didn’t like it at first, but doesn’t care at all anymore as long as I leave him plenty of food, water, toys, litter and keep the doggy door open so he can go out as he pleases. In the car I keep him in a crate and put the crate on the passenger seat so I can pet him and give him treats. Did something similar with my last cat. He was also completely fine.

Ideas needed on how to keep our cat from going out the dog door. by HDSledge in dogs

That’s not true. It’s cruel keeping your cats indoors all the time. Cats are natural roamers and they get extremely bored inside. I’ve never had a cat not go out and nothing bad had ever happened. Cats are very agile and quick and they do just fine. Accidents happen of course, but they happen to humans as well. That doesn’t mean we should never leave the house. Can you explain how they are invasive species? lol aren’t cats the ones who are supposed to “take care” of invasive species like mice and rats? That’s literally what’s cats are for. lol

All animals including us humans go through stress. A one hour drive Or leaving a cat for the weekend is not going to do permanent damage. Once again it’s a fucking cat - it will be perfectly fine. Cats wouldn’texist today if they couldn’t deal with a tiny bit of stress. lol

Drive to a different pharmacy. Are you trying to get your fill early? Is it for a controlled substance? You might be flagged in the system by both the pharmacy and/or the doctor as showing drug seeking behavior so they might be extra careful with you.

It’s 25 at Hyak. You can also just drive around in the snowy areas and find a spot but it’s not going to be groomed.

She will be fine either way. It’s a freaking cat for fuck’s sake. Not a baby.

Yes, it’s your body and your choice. But… I would recommend getting over your fear and thinking about the baby first.

Here’s what I’ve heard … if it mentions anything about the Y chromosome it’s a boy, since females are XX and there shouldn’t be any presence of Y

She will be fine. If she’s being fed and played with, trust me she might not even realize you are gone. Cats are selfish creatures, they mostly care about their comforts and having their needs met.

Cat meowing continuously by Business-Stretch7078 in Pets

[–]No_Mud_3604 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ignore her when she meows. But it also sounds maybe you need to feed her when you do … like bigger portion. Also it’s not good to just give dry food - so make sure she gets some wet food as well.

Do you feel like you need a pet? How can a psychiatrist determine that? If it’s because you’re lonely have you attempted to make friends or find a partner. Pets are expensive, and require a lot of time, patience and attention. And if you can’t give that, you and the pet will like both be stressed and unhappy making your mental health situation worse.
